Also, anyone who wasn’t dead from the neck up would’ve thought, “Why the hell would Dumbledore keep around someone who is so shitty to students? Unless he needed him for more than teaching.” I mean, yeah, Snape was a brilliant potioneer, but Dumbledore could’ve easily found someone who maybe was a bit less brilliant, but the students could be comfortable with, and could learn from without fear. He managed to find people to fill the post of a position he suspected was cursed, so it’s not a stretch to imagine he could’ve replaced Snape. I wonder why Riddle, who was considered intelligent (even if he was evil) didn’t think that?

Bottom line? Snape sucks and there is NOTHING that anyone can say to rightfully justify this man’s behavior to children.
