she really wrote one of the most influential mystery novels of the last 30 years, you can trace the roots of half the thrillers getting published now back to gone girl, she wrote the excellent film adaptation that became a sensation, she made fuck you money, and she was like "i'm protecting my peace" and has just been vibing ever since. legend.
