Andy's words barely register as he sits down in the chair in front of the couch. His eyes never leave Sif until she starts breathing again. They're eyes latch on to each other and he's in the floor by the couch in a second. "Sif...." he says quietly. Her own expression tells him that recognition he so longed to see for so long. He does not reach out to her. Not until he knows that she is glad to see him as well.
there's an overflow of emotions running through sif's face. back then when she was actually hopeful for this encounter, she had imagined many different occasions where they would cross paths again. but when it never came, she stopped thinking about it. for some time, she started feeling somewhat betrayed. thor couldn't have died on that last battle she saw him. why did he never come? it hadn't crossed her mind that he thought she was dead. so, seeing him again is a heavy blow to her chest, even worse than the bullet.
her eyes water immediately at the sound of his voice again. all these years wandering alone, without him and waiting for him, hardened her. she wasn't really the same. neither was thor, she could imagine, but those eyes would never change. slowly, she reaches out to touch his face, wanting to make sure he was real. the tip of her fingers trace his features, memorizing him again. ❝ i waited for you... for so long. ❞ she whispers, retreating her hand, eyes hardening again. ❝ thinking every thunder in the sky was a sign of your arrival. ❞ until it started bringing her nothing but rage.

"ouch," tony says in response to pepper's refusal on making her mother's pie, feigning hurt even though the blow is real. that was some damn good pie that tony now won't be able to eat. (he'll coax it out of her eventually. probably. sometimes pepper can be more stubborn than he is. rhodey sometimes refer to them as a match made in hell.).
tony sits down when pepper motions him to, chin resting on his hand as he waits for pepper to look over the schematics and information. he offers her a winning smile when she asks if he wants her to present the information in the next meeting, a non-verbal "you bet your ass i don't want to present this". "they would much rather listen to you talk about this stuff. you know you're a better speaker than me."
