🏆 What’s your proudest thread or RP moment?
// Hrm... I think. I dunno. I'm proud mainly of the way I've increased both the range and quality of my writing over time, I think. I can write a much larger variety of things than I could in 2024. It was worth getting through some stuff that embarrassed me and struggling harder on some topics for a bit.
I can't really think of anything very particular right now. I like the timeline we're building, that's one.
((Check out these photos I put in my drafts in TWENTY NINETEEN when I first got my tattoo done, but then never posted! It’s a lot more faded than this now, it’s very fun to compare what it looked like when fresh. Alas, I’d have to really dig to find a pic after the second skin was off, and my phone back then didn’t take fantastic pics, either. This is the view looking into a deer vertebra that I collected in the wild early on in my bone collecting hobby, snapped a picture of and then drew. While recently finishing up my move I just unpacked that exact bone into my collection!))

Lots of barn kitties and a couple of pups are on the property. A handful of the barn residents have a special place in my heart, but I try (and fail) to keep an emotional distance to avoid a lot of heartbreak.

🚫 What’s a trope you avoid or dislike?
The kind of humor that amounts to what I've seen referred to as "torture porn". Like I actually do not seeing a character accidentally humiliate themselves over and over. It makes me feel very distressed actually. I'm not laughing, I just feel bad for them.

I definitely do. Depends on what it is. Like... major character death? A falling out for a relationship my muse has I'm personally invested in? Yeah. It can actually be very intense emotions in some more occasional cases.

I feel like I just need a balance. Only one or only the other tends to stagnate. I love character-focused threads, but sometimes you need to shake things up with a little chaos. I don't enjoy constant chaos.
Have you ever adopted ideas from other writers into your own headcanon?
Yeah, usually from RP partners I'm writing more closely with, especially as we tend to develop and intertwine ideas more. I try not to lift ideas from other RPers that I'm more casual with, you know? Or whom I don't write with but just admire.
And sometimes I've had inspiration from fanfiction or fan art.
If you had to move your RP somewhere else, where would you go?
Me and Cat (hellsmayflower) do most of our writing on Matrix Element. Which is like discord, but less centralized. (Also they aren't trying to do "age assurance".) I also have Stoat. And I do have discord again....
I really like - adore! - the layout over on Pillowfort, but public threads of length don't seem to be a viable option there.
Dreamwidth I'm not terribly familiar with yet.
These are mainly options for if tumblr starts demanding personal information to keep using this platform.
