After a failed operation investigating unusual bioweapon activity in Eastern Europe, Thor Odinson disappears without a trace. Officially, he's listed as missing in action. Unofficially, he's become Mother Miranda's most ambitious experiment.
Recognizing the genetic potential hidden within Thor's bloodline, Miranda orders Lady Alcina Dimitrescu to capture him alive and deliver him to Castle Dimitrescu. Rather than using him as a simple test subject, Miranda sees him as the key to creating something far greater than any of her previous Cadou-enhanced creations.
The Cadou does not reject Thor. It adapts.
Thor's unusual ancestry allows him to survive a strain that would have killed almost anyone else. Instead of mutating into a mindless monster, his body develops a stable symbiosis with the parasite. The result is a terrifying new bioweapon: a towering supersoldier capable of generating bioelectric discharges powerful enough to mimic natural lightning. His enhanced physiology grants immense strength, accelerated regeneration, and heightened senses, while the Cadou feeds on his aggression and survival instincts.
For a time, Miranda believes she has succeeded in creating the ultimate weapon.
The problem is that Thor remains Thor.
No matter how much conditioning, isolation, or experimentation he endures, he refuses to fully submit. His sense of self survives beneath the parasite's influence, leading to constant clashes with Miranda's control. Lady Dimitrescu comes to view him as both her greatest headache and her most dangerous house guestβtoo valuable to kill, too powerful to trust.
As the infection progresses, Thor develops a monstrous secondary form triggered by extreme stress or loss of control. In this state, his body becomes a nightmare fusion of Cadou mutations and living electrical tissue, transforming him into a storm-like predator capable of tearing through B.O.W.s and soldiers alike. Even Miranda hesitates to unleash him unless absolutely necessary.
Within the village, rumors spread of a "Thunder Devil" imprisoned somewhere beneath Castle Dimitrescu. Some claim they've heard thunder during clear skies. Others speak of glowing blue eyes watching from the castle's highest towers.
Most never live long enough to learn the truth.
Because somewhere beneath the parasite, the experiments, and Miranda's ambitions, Thor is still fighting to escape and every day he grows stronger.
The question is whether he'll break free or become the very monster they created.
