This includes the British-constructed Hashemite regime in Jordan, the military dictatorship of al-Sisi in Egypt, and the Western-armed petro-tyrannies of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The Palestinian cause is stigmatised because it represents a real threat to this network of brutal wealth extraction and militarised oppression. Should it succeed in dismantling the Israeli apartheid regime, breaking the colonial system that crushes them, and proving that radical democracy can exist, the rest of these tyrannies will begin to crumble in their wake.
