koalas eat a food source that is both poisonous and lacks most of the nutrients they need to survive. they have to spend so much time sleeping because they get so little energy from their food. they can’t even recognize that it’s food if it’s not attached to a tree. and to even eat that food in the first place, they need to consume their mothers’ feces. evolutionary chance has led them to a very unfortunate existence

ae think it’s a similar situation with the hawktopus. their octopus biology prevents them from having the skills a hawk normally would. their hawk biology prevents them from having the skills an octopus normally would. they’re not even part waterfowl. their hawk part can’t fuckin exist in the water. the octopus part needs to be well hydrated, and it doesn’t get that very well on land. they’re a mishmash of ‘wow, nature really fucked you over’

"Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl" is a series that follows Aika, a reluctant magical girl, her new friend, Zira and magical mascot, Hoshi. These days, all Aika wants is to be a normal girl but with her "nemesis" Eclipse and the all powerful Lady DeVoid causing trouble, that dream seems to be unlikely.
