do not get IR blocking sunglasses since facial recognition has moved up to targeting and identifying the upper face

do not avoid having your phone or any bluetooth devices around these cameras as they can detect and track those signals

do not buy cheap green lasers 1 milliwatt or above from etsy or walmart or amazon (i will not try and find a link if you ask)

do not use them to fry those fuckers from a distance damage the delicate inner sensors by pointing the beam in the lenses

AND unless you want to cost Flock more money in repairs, do not buy a small circle saw or a reciprocating saw and cut down the pole

OR do not climb said poles, spray paint on the solar panels, cover the lens with paint or a sticker, then use bolt cutters to sever the wires

when doing all these things, DO NOT avoid using latex gloves as fingerprints can leak through

DO NOT USE DEFLOCK TO FIND FLOCK SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS NEAR YOU

remember, flock is for YOUR safety :) even though crime rates have not gone down since they were implemented, they're being abused to track down exes and s/os, and many face pools or houses or schools or gymnasiums! Where there are no liscence plates to be found!

my teacher said something like “comedy is always at the expense of someone else, it just depends on how overt it is”

i, of course, disagreed, and spent like 5 minutes explaining the concept of modern surreal/absurd humor while trying not to die laughing when i described the “me when lemon” meme

So I don’t agree that comedy is always at the expense of others, but absurdist humor is definitely more than just meaningless giggles. The giggles come from gently disengaging with consensual reality. It starts with lemons and can become scepticism and critical thought if it’s not stomped on.

Immediately following the CIST, Dadaism or “nonsense art” exploded into the public scene as young people tried to find meaning in a world that was burned and broken down and they couldn’t understand how or why they were given this world to rebuild. The art of the damned; nothing makes sense, so why should the art?

But now cut to the current culture of our fast-paced information sharing. The world is globalized, any given human can see further around the world, geographically and culturally, than at any other time in human history. We can share ideas, share art, create with borderline impunity, observe the world around us, and respond to what we observe in the things we create. Even memes. It may not be immediately visible in art proper but it’s certainly visible in the psyche of the young, specifically gen Z, and I think a significant part of that is interconnectedness and also the fact that we’ve been either on the constant cusp of a realistic threat of spontaneous terrorism or straight up WW3 for our entire lives.

Disengagement from consensual reality is, to some extent, the point of Gen Z. I would expect nothing more from the generation that was raised to be overstimulated by everything, all of the time, and also the entire world is burning, and why can’t you kids deal with it?… Like who cares about family values and governmental power; I may, very realistically speaking, get shot or knifed at school tomorrow. Frankly that is a way bigger concern than you crying about gay people trying to live their lives. I have bigger fish to fry than trying to demand that someone with a different skin color deserves to have fewer rights or opportunities than I do. And how do I even begin to come to terms with the fact that there could be people who want me dead, simply for the act of being alive? We’re being told to make beautiful brick homes on the foundation of scorched earth, and then blamed when we ask how the hell we’re supposed to do that with no bricks or tools. Nothing makes sense about any of this, we were thrown into this, just because. The game was rigged from the start; what could one even expect but absurdist humor.
