for anyone who'd been following "we are burning our fingers / but we learn and forgive" while we were updating it, we apologize for the long hiatus. our burnout aside, some stuff happened with someone we considered a friend within the fandom. we thought we were just very close, but recently realized we were in a traumabond with them while they abused us the whole time. as you can imagine, this has left a mark on us -- especially given the fact that, any time we expressed an interest in writing for another fandom, they would take that as an opportunity to remind us of our "starving fans" -- and we are unfortunately writing to say that we will likely be putting the fic on an indefinite hiatus, and we will potentially leave the fandom altogether. we saved our notes for it, so perhaps we'll be back in a few years or so to finish it up. thank you for your patience, love, and support. we'll perhaps see you later -- whether that be in another fandom, or if and when we finish the fic
