Shen Yuan was born with prosopagnosia, which transferred with him when he transmigrated into Shen Qingqiu (WTF SYSTEM!!)

He worries he would get caught as a fraud with how much he struggled with knowing which Peak Lord was which, but unknown to him the rest of the mountain attributed it to his amnesia

Years later in Jin Lan City, he encounters a young adult with a deep voice who calls him Shizun, who clearly was a disciple trained by the OG and left the sect before Shen Yuan was around!

He's wearing gold and surrounded by others wearing the same, so he must have left the sect for HHP after Shen Jiu did something to make him leave, and that's why HHP is being especially rude to him!

Meanwhile Luo Binghe is heartbroken because Shizun is ignoring him! He's not angry or happy or anything! He's acting like being around him is a bit awkward and not the huge deal it's supposed to be!

He won't even call Luo Binghe by his name! Just dizi! It was like he didn't even know his name anymore!

He couldn't tell the difference! Can't recognize him NOW!

In fact? It's probably a side effect of the constant qi deviations (something which had been going on BEFORE he even got there and of which there notably had just recently been a BIG ONE)?
