[ID: A Scum Villain Comic. Panel one shows Plant!Shen Yuan in shocked confusion, his hands clutching the pouch of Zheng Yang's shards in his hands. He says "You're alive? But I heard that at the conference you-" Gongyi Xiao scratches the back of his head in an awkward motion as he smiles and responds "Ah well- It's a long story-" Chibi!SY looks down as he hesitantly asks "Did anyone else also...?" Before saying in an even quieter voice, "...No he would've come back." GYX's speech bubble sadly says "Shen-gongzi..."
Panel two shows one of the Huan Hua palace disciples from the previous update not reading the room and interjecting with a bright smile and saying "Well- Now that shixiong's here we should all team up!" GYX admonishes her with a slightly horrified expression, exclaiming "Shimei!" The Chibi version of the disciple winks at him while placing a finger on her cheek as she says "What~? Doesn't shixong want to-?" Chibi!SY looking like he wants to be Anywhere else interjects, "Apologies...This one is supposed to head back to our quarters."
Panel three has Chibi!GYX cupping his hands in a salute as he softly smiles. He says "Of course. Please allow this one to escort you! It's not safe to travel alone." SY's speech bubble reluctantly agrees "Alight..." It then shows GYX going to guide SY, looking over his shoulder to his two shimei ordering them with "Shimei, go back to the others. This shixiong will return later." The two chibi disciples look on smugly and with excitment as the taller one says "Have fun~"
Panel four has a small timeskip to the end of their walk. With a small smile SY says "Thank you for walking me back. It was...nice to see a familiar face." Chibi!GYX smiles with a "It was this one's pleasure!" However, his tone soon changes as he continues "Though I must admit, there's something I want...no, need, to talk to you about." SY's speech bubble has a simple question mark.
Panel five has a more somber Chibi!GYX saying "It's..It's about the conference-" GYx raises one hand slightly as he looks off to the side, he continues "I can't say anything here but- If I can come talk to you tonight-" Chibi!GYX cups his hands together and closes his eyes as if bracing himself and finishes his plea "Then this one would be grateful!"
Panel six shows Chibi!SY looking apologetic as he says "Ah sorry- My father wouldn't let me-" SY cuts himself off as he remembers how coldly SQQ treated him in the previous update. He quickly changes his tone closing his eyes with a big smile as he says "Gongyi Xiao, How good are you at sneaking out?"
Panel seven has Chibi!GYX with a flustered and surprised expression as he quickly responds "uh- Pretty good?" SY rests one hand on the door frame as he points up with his other. He says "Meet me at that window after sundown, okay?" Chibi!GYX happy that his plea work excitedly responds "Got it!"
Panel eight shows GYX looking on as SY enters the shop with a smile and flustered expression as he thinks "Bignhe's going to be thrilled!" It then cuts to Luo Binghe and SJ!Shen Qingqiu having a stare down. LBH appears a little smug whilst SQQ hides the lower half of his angered expression with his fan. End ID]
