That’s the tragedy of Yang Xiao Long.
Despite how absolutely incredible she is, she’s constantly left, doubted, and/or overshadowed. The only way she’s found to stay relevant is to put her own feelings aside and support others. She doesn’t know how to handle being someone’s focus, being the center of someone’s world. She’s never been important enough.
If you wanted to make me cry today, then you succeeded dear Anon

Made another Glaceon OC…
Her name is Perma, and she's a fitness tomboy. As tough as she is, she's hopeless in romantic situations and melts like an ice cube.

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.
we seriously need to stop conceding to the personhood trap when it comes to abortion rights. is a fetus a person? thats a spiritual question. i dont care about the answer. should another person dictate what someone can do with their body? simple answer: no.
like if a fetus isnt a person it has no right to my body and if a fetus IS a peson it also has no right to my body because there is no other context in which we are required to put ourselves at risk of physical harm to preserve another persons safety or even life.
you dont have to save someone from drowning even if youre a strong swimmer. even in death youre not required to donate organs and that could save several people. you can kill someone if you truly believe your safety is at risk. we dont mandate preservation of life over autonomy in any of these circumstances.
for those who don't watch game changer the context of this is that vic, as part of their attempt to do a challenge on this game show, decided to steal from sam's home, which resulted in them losing points
I dont think I get whats happening, what did vic do?
so basically what happened was they're on a game show and sam gave them a challenge and what vic did as part of their attempt to complete that challenge was they robbed sam's home, but instead of this getting them points they had a point deducted from their score because sam did not think vic robbing his home was good
wait so why did vic's points get deducted?
because they robbed sam's house which sam decided was not in line with what he wanted the contestants to do with this challenge
On the one hand, part of me is like "well yeah, obviously he's not going to be happy about you robbing his house"
On the other hand, I've seen enough clips of Game Changer and seen the kind of psychological torture Sam inflicts on his contestants and can't help but think this was just kinda fair play?
yeah that's what vic thought too which is why they robbed sam's home. didn't work out though because they lost a point for it

Steve gets a new coworker part 3
In Defense of Vaggi...
I've heard some people complain about her relationship to Charlie, putting Vaggi's loyalty and protectiveness of her girlfriend in any negative light they could think of.
...I fail to see the problem with all of that.
Charlie might not be a perfect person, but she overall has altruistic intentions of helping Sinners. Vaggi's loyalty to Charlie is certainly better than Lute's fanatical devotion to Adam, in spite of the latter being a gigantic asshole with no good intentions.
There is a reason why Vaggi is that way with Charlie as well--the latter found Vaggi and patched her up right after Lute maimed her and she was left behind during an Extermination. It's easy to infer that Vaggi is grateful to Charlie for that moment, which in turn spawned her loyalty.
And even so, Vaggi does have her limits and disagreements with Charlie. Most notably in S2, when Charlie made some very counterproductive efforts to make herself and the hotel look good, Vaggi outright called her out for hurting the hotel. Again, it's much better than how Lute rarely thinks of Adam as in the wrong.
What I'm trying to say is, Vaggi's loyalty to Charlie shouldn't be seen as problematic. Part of is it that Vaggi does know when and where to draw the line, part of it is that she's the most consistent ally to the hotel, but overall, Vaggi's devotion is one of her most positive traits. I wish people would recognize that.
Or, if you would rather, get you a girl like Vaggi. 'Cause obviously you ain't ever had one in your life.
