Kajil is ....well, amused by the other werewolf. Of course, he doesn’t know the dude, so that could be a totally inappropriate reaction. But he knew self-deprecation, and he'd bet there's plenty interesting about him. But he doesn't try and argue because, again, he doesn’t know the man, and this Rowan was more talking aloud to himself than at or to anyone.... *and* this could be a bad idea. ...but honestly, Kajil is lonely, and ready to take the risk of this being a trap to alleviate that.

The man perked up at the intrusion. Sitting up, he tried to focus his attention on what the new face was saying.

He gives a firm shake and stands back a little, leaning on his cane a little heavily. One of the days getting around was just hard. And this little detour? Just as rough. He sips his drink, still cold and nice on his sore throat. His voice is raspy enough without the strain. But it is what is as the saying goes.

Honestly I think one of the most empowering things you can do for yourself is to separate your negative qualities from your identity.
