Tommy wasn’t lying to Hen and Karen when he said they were taking things at Evan’s pace. It’s just that Evan’s preferred pace is far from slow.
It’s like that kiss in the hospital lobby knocked any remaining nerves about Evan’s newfound bisexuality clean out of him. They’d kissed a few times in between their first and that one, but they’d all been quick, chaste things at the ends of dates; closed-mouthed and respectful. Tommy was trying not to push Evan into anything he wasn’t comfortable with. But once Evan threw open those hospital doors, the floodgates on their sex life opened as well.
Evan was all over him every chance he got—lips trailing, tongue tasting, fingers grabbing. He’d given Tommy a blowjob so good it was hard to believe that it was not only his first, but not even something he’d known he wanted a few weeks ago.
Evan was a natural. He was hungry for anything Tommy would give him; no hesitation. He’ll try anything if he thinks it might feel good.
Tommy knows Evan is experienced; far from a blushing virgin, even if he’d never gone to bed with another man before. They’d talked a lot over the last few weeks. Evan had told Tommy about ‘Buck 1.0’ and about some of his more adventurous girlfriends.
So it shouldn’t have been a surprise, really.
I SEE WHERE HE GOT IT FROM
Incorrect tweets pt 31/?
Buck stole Tommy's first date shirt. for me it's canon

do buddie do jigsaw puzzles together?
Yes, and they celebrate everytime they finish one
No, it’s not their thing
Buck starts them, and Eddie occasionally helps
Eddie starts them, and Buck occasionally helps
Rewatch of 9-1-1: 4x07
I’m showing my mom the show 😂 and we’re watching Michael and Bobby and David participate in criminal activity.
I’m laughing at it 😂
And she’s screaming at the TV: “What the F?!” “SHUT. UP.” “OH MY GOD!” “Athena’s going to kill them!”
And now I’m laughing at my mom too 😂
I'm the beat in your heart
For @fireburningonthedancefloor for the @911fanworksfestival
Title: I'm the beat in your heart Fandom: 9-1-1 Pairing: Eddie/Buck with minor Buck/Tommy Rating: Teen and Up Summary: Eddie and Buck are the two halves of the same soul. They are soulmates, and Tommy has come to care about them. Buck's heart is taken by Eddie and Eddie's heart sings for Buck's. Tommy and Christopher join forces to make the two see what they have been searching for they have with one another.
"You don't find love, son, you make it." Also available on AO3
“Have you ever felt really close to someone? So close that you can't understand why you and the other person have two separate bodies, two separate skins?” — Nancy Garden, Annie On My Mind
Tommy Kinard knows what soulmates look like. That kind of love that seems to only exist in fairy tales and romantic movies. He likes Eddie, he is a great friend. It is nice to have someone to talk to about their time in the army, who also likes MMA and Muay Thai and working on cars with them.
Then there is Evan. Evan is truly someone special. He wasn't kidding when he called him adorable. Being the one to help Evan see that that part of himself he had buried deep within himself was a gift he will always treasure.
But Evan isn't his soulmate, he isn't the one meant to be his forever ending. No, that spot is reserved for Eddie. They are twin souls. Evan is Eddie's North Star, always there to guide him to where he is meant to be. And Evan is Eddie's sun, the one lighting and guiding the way for him. He is just baffled at how the two could be so blind as to how they are the two halves of the same soul.
"Welcome to our world." Christopher patted Tommy on his shoulder. It was a Buckley-Diaz day at the zoo but since Tommy was off Christopher asked if he wanted to join them. Tommy didn't miss the way that Eddie's smile became plastic, it reminded him of the night at Chimney's bachelor party where somehow Eddie managed to pull off being completely petty while handing him a cup of orange juice. Seriously that was a thing Tommy didn't think could be done but when it came to Eddie's possessiveness over Evan it was outstanding the levels Eddie could reach. So when Eddie agreed Tommy could feel the force he used to agree to make his son and his best friend happy.

Pre-Buddie | Eddie Diaz POV
Rated: Teen and Up
Summary: 7.5k words
The harness pulled at Buck’s sternum, his head and arms dropped back as water sluiced off his listless body.
It could have looked beautiful, reverential – had there been the golden light of the sun instead of the dark shadows of the rainy night – with his body positioned for a resurrection the way it was.
But Buck was too still. His bright, living energy and mannerisms were missing. He was empty. He was a marionette with cut strings, limp and swaying lightly in the stormy wind.
A cold band locked around Eddie’s heart like a zip tie, forever tightening and impossible to reverse. HIs breath punched out of him for the second time in under a minute.
A desperate guttural scream ripped through the night. “BUCK!”
“Mayday, mayday, mayday. This is Captain Nash, one-eighteen,” Bobby’s voice crackled over the radio. “We have a firefighter down at the MacArthur Park apartment fire. Need additional task force and rescue immediately.”
READ IT HERE ON AO3
So if Bobby is Buck’s adoptive Dad-
And Buck is Christopher’s adoptive Dad/second Dad/Stepdad (whatever you want to call it when Buck and Eddie get married and they are raising Christopher together)-
Bobby is Christopher’s Grandpa, thank you VERY MUCH-
(See proof below)

Does anyone else hate how forgiving your abusive parent is so pushed in 9-1-1? Like Chimney had every reason to stay pissed at his dad for life, yet he got forced into giving the man a chance by Albert who literally guilt tripped him (no Albert hate).
Then there's the Buckley parents who, admittedly, went through therapy, but I don't think it's fair how Maddie and Buck were just expected to forgive them.
Eddie's parents too. I did kind of like how they handled this situation because it was generational trauma and his dad apologised, but the fact that it adds to the list of abusive parents that were quickly forgiven just annoys me.
There's more instances but I can't think. It's like any child who rightfully puts space between themselves and their parent is in the wrong and must find a way to forgive and forget.
As someone who is non-contact with their father, I wish there was some representation for when the parent is unforgivable.

“okay, and would that be right after our flying lessons?"
Preface: I know Maddie has her own significant trauma that causes her to act in certain ways, but
I just hate how Maddie looks at Buck when he reveals his attendance in therapy, like something has to be wrong. That he can’t want to just improve himself and be a better person and live a better life.
Then she follows him home like he has to talk to her about it when she’s not entitled to his scars, which she reveals to their parents who (do we actually know if Buck contacted them after he left? I’m on the they-had-no-contact side.) he doesn’t like.
