Texas arch Fic idea
Christopher is in Texas and he goes to the lake to swim even though his grandparents told him he couldn’t go.
He drowns and someone pulls him out.
That person is his dad. But his dad looks different. He looks younger and Chris is so confused.
Turns out he time traveled to when Eddie was a teenager.
Maybe Chris lies about his name or something. Idk.
Eddie befriends him and is nice to him. Chris is surprised how cool his dad was.
Eddie’s parents don’t want him to hang out with Chris and are kinda passively nice to him, but he can tell they don’t like him.
He meets his mom as a teenager.
He sees how Eddie gets treated. How Shannon got treated. He sees how happy his parents are. How much fun they have together, how they act in love and like best friends.
(Shannon is pregnant with Chris at this point, but she hasn’t told Eddie yet, but there’s little hints throughout the story that shows that she knows/plus Chris knows cause he does the math)
He also understands them better now.
He also bumps into Buck who is just passing by and getting gas while he’s traveling (this kinda only works where Buck IS older by a year) and Chris gives him advice about traveling and maybe going to LA.
Buck and Eddie literally brush past each other, but don’t interact
To get back to his timeline he has to go back to the lake where he drowns again and Eddie saves him again. But it’s his dad now.
Eddie came back to Texas to bring Chris back home. And when he got to the house his parents told him that Chris snuck out and that he got those “bad habits” from him. So Eddie goes to the lake and sees the small boat empty and dives in to get chris.
And like it can flicker back and forth between Christopher and Eddie in the past and what Eddie and Buck are doing in the present.
Cause this brings up memories for Eddie, memories of meeting a kid like Chris when he was younger and saving him from the lake. Of Eddie and Shannon hanging out with this kid. Of hiding him in Shannon dad’s barn. To him suddenly disappearing one day.
