The body, including one’s sexuality, is viewed as sacred—a vessel of power and self-realization rather than guilt.

In some interpretations, sexual expression in ritual or devotion is understood as a way to connect more deeply with the spiritual essence of SATAN—not as an evil figure, but as a symbol of rebellion, authenticity, and acceptance of all aspects of the self. For gay theistic Satanists, this may carry additional meaning: the affirmation of same-sex desire as spiritually valid and as a way of honoring one’s true nature within their faith tradition.
