Last night I watched āFree To Be You and Meā and āThe Endā.
We talk a lot about how Dean gave Cas the end of the world speech in FTBYAM and the Bert & Ernie line as well as him saying he had the most fun in years with Cas. His also famous line ādonāt ever changeā in The End episode.
However, we never talk about Cas. After running out of that brothel, Cas was watching Dean closely and Cas was smiling and smiled all the way to the car and then in the following episode, āThe Endā, when Cas zapped Dean away from Zachariah, he said āwe had an appointmentā with this look of a shared joke on his face.
I feel like those two episodes is when Cas really started to soften in his personality around Dean. I think in FTBYAM Cas also had the most fun heās ever had and it endeared him to Dean more than previous episodes.
Iām on S5x04 āThe Endā of my rewatch and when Dean calls Sam towards the end to meet up with him, the car Sam arrives in, looks almost like Castielās Pimpmobile š
I just finished watching S4x22 āLucifer Risingā and at the very end when Lucifer is about to rise, Dean tells Sam āLetās go!ā but Sam holds him back and says āDean. Heās comingā. I may be imagining it, but there was almost a look ot anticipation on Samās face.
Why? Why would Sam want to see Lucifer rise? Was there some deep primal need to see him because Samās his true vessel? Was it just curiosity? Shock?
So gossiping husbands started pretty early.
S4x18 Dean said Cas told him all about Sam using his powers on Alastair.
