- Soda and Two-Bit get into competitions over anything and everything. Like, if the gang is at a restaurant, they see who can steal more ketchup packets or sugar packets as they leave the restaurant.

- Darry once slept for 48 hours straight before his folks passed. His brothers thought he died. (Had a fun conversation with @marmaladedcroissant about this on Discord.)

- Dallas is a cat person and is always smuggling in cats/kittens into his room at Buck’s place. It pisses off Buck so bad. (He’s not a big fan of cats.)

- On the topic of cats, Steve has one of his own. He named her Diesel. (Saw this headcanon somewhere on here, cannot remember where.)

Pony had a break down it was so bad, so Darry didnt sleep for quite a few hours after!

-One that I think about a lot is the fact that Sylvia and Dallas aren’t actually dating, they never were. They both use the relationship as an excuse to get out of icky situations. They’re actually just good friends (that’s not what Dally calls it though-)

-Mrs. Holden, Mrs. Mathews, and Mrs. Curtis were all really close when Paul, Two-bit and Darry were all growing up. They’d constantly talk to each other over a good glass of wine. There wasn’t a break in the friendship or anything, Mrs. Holden and Mrs. Mathews just stopped talking as often after Mrs. Curtis died

-Chet Baker and Sodapop did little league when they were younger. Soda, Chet, and Steve made up quite the trio, although, it all fell apart when the divide between Socs and Greasers became a part of their lives

-Even as his hair grows back to its normal auburn color, Pony keeps a strand bleached to keep the memory of Johnny

I imagine they're surprised, but also not? It just sounds like a Dallas thing to do. I think especially post-canon, he'll start connecting more with the kid, bringing him around more, etc.

He's definitely very blunt about it. He shows up with a little boy clutching his hand and is just like "what's up? meet my kid."

Darry and Tim are both the ones trying to get the story out of him. Tim is mainly worried Dallas was taken advantage of, but once he finds it was just an accident he backs off.

Darry thinks Dallas is so irresponsible, and they probably get into some sort of argument over it. He's eighteen and he has a son who's at least a couple years old, after all. Dallas does not appreciate the judgement.

The rest of the gang accepts it pretty easily, and they're generally great uncles!

Sylvia wants absolutely nothing to do with the kid. She and Dallas break up for the hundredth time over it, and it's just a whole thing.

Dallas doesn't have contact with his baby mama, or their contact is very minimal. I could even imagine the kid living with one of their family members because neither of them wanted him.

The kid either spends weekends with him at Buck's or he lives there full time.

And the Curtis parents! Mr Curtis definitely lectures Dally about responsibility. The only reason Dally takes it from him and not Darry is because Mr Curtis is like a second dad to him.

Mrs Curtis sees his kid as her grandbaby and spoils the shit outta him. She and her husband teach Dallas how to be softer with the kid, how to care for him and love him, etc.
