When I write for odyssey characters, I’ll specify which version of the character it is (in this case, the movie Tele)
this was a little hard to write but I tried my best!!
added a little tele and penny mother/son dynamic
“Ugh, I hate all this jewelry on me. I feel like I’m gonna tip over any minute.” You muttered into your lover’s ear.
Telemachus laughed. “If you fall, I’ll be right there to catch you.” He booped your nose, making you giggle.
You paused and looked around. “Think anyone has noticed yet?” This ruse had been going on for a month now. The whole goal was to convince Penelope and a neighboring kingdom’s king and queen to break off Telemachus’ and the princess’s engagement. You and Telemachus wanted to marry, but since you were only a hand maid, it was forbidden.
Telemachus shook his head. “Don’t think so, thankfully. Hopefully we can convince Mother to break it off.”
You nodded. “I hope so. I don’t think I could wear all of this any longer.” You paused. “It’s getting hot in here. Do you think it would be okay to take off this head garment?” You gestured to it, one that you had borrowed from the princess.
Telemachus looked around. “There’s no one around, so, yeah, I think you could.”
You slowly took it off. “You know, the palace really needs to open more windows. It could really cool this place d-“
Your sentence trailed off as you noticed a fellow servant walk in the room to see you taking your head garment off. Both you and Telemachus’s eyes widened, as did the servant’s. She ran off, probably on her way to tell the queen. Telemachus ran after her, before turning and talking to you.
“Don’t worry, I’ll fix this. I’ll convince her to let us marry.” You grabbed his hand, making him look you in the eyes.
“Are you sure? What if she says no?”
Telemachus kissed your hand. “She won’t. Trust me, love.” You nodded, and Telemachus went off to face his mother.
—————————————————————-
Telemachus had been facing off with his mother for 10 minutes now. He understood why Penelope wanted a marriage with a neighboring country, it would help Ithaca. But he would rather be with you.
“But Mother, I love her!” Telemachus pleaded.
“Do you really love her?”
. “With every bone in my body and every breath I take.” Telemachus said, his eyes full of sincerity.
A faint smile appeared on Penelope’s face. Her son was so much like Odysseus. “Then you have my blessing.”
Telemachus’ face lit up. “Really?”
Penelope held up her pointer finger. “But you will have to wait until Odysseus comes home. I would not want your father to miss this.”
Telemachus nodded repeatedly. “Understood.” He ran up to his mother and hugged her. “Thank you so so much.”
“Of course.”
Telemachus started running out the room to tell you the good news, until his mother’s voice stopped him. “Telemachus.”
“Treat her well. She’s a good girl.”
Telemachus nodded. “I will.”
Telemachus ran to a field full of flowers, the same one where he proposed to you, and found you taking a short walk, now dressed in common clothes. He ran over to you and swung you around.
“Telemachus? What’s wrong?!” There was a hint of laughter in your voice.
Telemachus grinned. “We’re getting married.”
