people on my post using Paw Patrol as an example of acceptable cops in media bc itās just for kids⦠donāt test me iāll get that little fucker put down too!
as per usual, most normal tumblr replies
I could say āI like wafflesā and mfs will go āSo u hate pancakesā
It is true, German CITIZENS deny to knowing the extent of the holocaust. Most claim to not know hence the saying āDavon haben wir nichts gewuttsā (We knew nothing about that). If u wanna put that under scrutiny, thatās fine. Iām not their PR team. But itās clear ur trying to accuse of some sort of Nazi shit or Holocaust denier.
This is not about the people involved with the German camps, they knew what they were doing. Fuck them.
As for the cop thing, dawg Iām literally right, I know half of u would call the cops if a real situation took place.
Also I like how you cut out the context that someone AGREEING with you, was the one to bring up the holocaust.
the full context is still very much not charitable to you i am afraid
Germans didn't understand the extent of the holocaust, they didn't understand the details, but they most certainly got the gist. People knew about the very high fatality rates of concentration camps in Germany, they knew of mass shootings of jews in eastern Europe from their relatives in the Wehrmacht, T4āthe murder of disabled peopleāwas widely known among the public to the extent that public outcry ended the policy. With this knowledge and the knowledge of the deportation of jews, the fact they weren't coming back was clear, and so was that many were going to die.
And the Nazi regime was vulnerable to protest and public outcry; T4 ended after outcry from the German churches and public unrest due to their family members being killed. Similarly an attempted deportation of jewish spouses of non-jewish Germans was stopped due to their protest. Of course that's not to say that people resisting weren't murdered by the regime, obviously many were, but this was enabled by the silence of the vast majority of Germans, whose protests Hitler assuaged to time and time again.
I literally said its fine if u think their still guilty. I just don't wanna be called a neo-nazi for quoting fucking wikipedia and after another mf brought up the holocaust.
Mfs acting like I out of no where started talking about it like Kayne West but some other person brought it up, I responded to it. And instead of going 'actual I disagree, I think they were aware' people jump to 'Nazi sympathizer!!!"
That is very obviously not a quote from Wikipedia, and it's holocaust denial. You might not be a neo-nazi, but if you're not, you can just admit you're wrong and delete the rhetoric rather than helping to disseminate neo nazi propaganda.
How? I acknowledge it existed?? I literally said multiple times I hate the people involved with the camps. And here is a quote straight up from wikipedia
Like I said multiple times, its a claim that has been debated and u can debate. But they claim to have not known shit. They knew about the deportations, but claim to not of known of the extreme crimes taking place afterwards.
Some individuals and groups in Germany attempted to resist Nazism, despite the risk of being caught and facing punishment. Learn more about
I was taught people found out the true horrors of nazi germany after the war. Thats not me saying that shit never existed. People are taking something I said a month ago and calling me the worst shit imaginable.
EDIT: Also even if Im wrong, how would that make me a nazi-sympathizer anyway? Im literally saying the nazis killed their critics and hid crimes from their people. Thats not defending them in the slightest. LMAO.
The Wikipedia article you screenshotted there is specifically talking about a widely discredited myth of post war Germany. Holocaust denial isn't just saying it didn't exist. It's also stuff like the clean Wehrmacht myth, pretending German soldiers weren't involved, or stiff like this, denying people knew about it. Even directly after the war 33% of people admitted to having known, those numbers rose after time. People didn't know about the gas chambers, but they knew jews were being deported to die. They could have protested, and protests did stop some of the nazis crimes where people they knew were involved. The reason that didn't happen wasn't because they were afraid like you said, since they did protest when it affected them more directly. It also wasn't because they didn't know, since they knew these people were being deported and never coming back. It was because their empathy did not extend to the people being deported.
I understand you feel attacked by this, I've definitely repeated denialism I was taughtāat school or elsewhereāthat I later learnt was incorrect, and it feels bad. But it's important to understand what actually happened and not disseminate lies about the holocaust, both out of respect to its victims, and to understand how the holocaust happened so that it may be the last time something like this happens.
I hope you can understand why people are reacting so badly to this too. You might not have meant it, but it's whitewashing of one of humanity's worst crimes andāwhile it may have been a historical misunderstanding on your sideāyou have repeatedly doubled down, rather than just admitting you were wrong about this.
