To Easy Company… victory, and Currahee!” “CURRAHEE!” Just as everyone downed their glasses, the heavy wooden door was slammed wide open. A tall, broad-shouldered Captain wrapped in a thick woollen greatcoat—with a medical stethoscope comically dangling from his neck—stepped into the room, striking an impeccably elegant pose and peering at them intently with his sky-blue eyes. Right on his heels was an earnest, wide-eyed young orderly. “I see several people here drinking without having passed a formal physical examination,” Friedrich tutted, inspecting the room with practiced disapproval. “I do not think this complies with the King’s Regulations. I fear I shall have to confiscate at least a few of those glasses.” He kept his face completely deadpan, letting the silence stretch. “Good evening, Red Devils, and Wahai Mohammed! Good evening, Easy Company, and Currahee! I had rather hoped that my family back in Surrey had taught you lot some basic manners!”

Sometimes, even a chapter that has been sitting in your drafts for two weeks, just waiting to be uploaded, undergoes a sudden, unexpected change. Life happens, and there is so much of my real life in my stories (only the interesting parts, though, as I recently said on reddit - Unhinged AO3 tags.) And Bonnie dying had as much of an impact on me as Ozzy dying last year.

Chapter Six of "We'll Meet Again" was originally titled "A Bridge Too Far... or not?" since it deals with Operation Market Garden, its aftermath, and related actions like Operation Pegasus. Yet, with Bonnie Tyler passing away just a few days ago, a brand-new title completely took over my mind: "Holding out for a hero."

The imagery just fit too perfectly—the British Red Devils holding the line in Arnhem, desperately waiting to be relieved by the tanks, and the boys of Easy Company scanning the horizon, hoping to cross paths with Major Friedrich von Trapp (RAMC). Bonnie surely would have loved the gallows humor and the sheer audacity of this chapter!

"We'll meet again" is an M-rated Band of Brothers x The Sound of Music crossover by me (BlackandPinkUnicornGuardian), where the Sound of Music part is set in my "Remember Tomorrow universe": the film story takes place in 1926, therefore Georg and Maria as well as the older Trapp children are all involved in Britain's war effort. The Band of Brothers side is fully canon-compliant.

Not a slash fic; all romantic relationships are already established and only serve as a background (ie. Georg and Maria on the home front; Nancy awaiting Friedrich's return from war.)

CHRISTMAS WITH THE VON TRAPPS: ARE YOU READY?

I'm sharing a completed side-project: an 8-chapter collection of Christmas vignettes from 1909 to 1945. They can be read as standalone stories; however, they are actually outtakes from my historical saga, "Remember tomorrow". The stories are all set in the “Sound of Music/Tutti insieme appassionatamente/Meine Lieder, meine Träume” fandom, but everyone can read them.

Eight separate, emotionally rich vignettes spanning four decades (1909–1945), charting the Trapp family's Christmases.

From the multicultural traditions of the old Dual Monarchy in Austria-Hungary, to classic Austrian traditions, to the austerity of wartime England, these chapters will bring you several different traditions, love and cuteness, music, and unwavering faith. Chapter 1: His first Christmas as husband and father (This is Georg x Agathe, but there is some interesting Austria-Hungary stuff, and also Liesl at almost eleven months being adorable)

Chapter 2: Their first Christmas together (calendar entry - leave feedback on one of the sites if you loved it! Love, the family finding its legs, mischief, and lots of Austrian traditions)

Chapter 3: Their first Christmas with Anna (calendar entry - leave feedback on one of the sites if you loved it! Beware of adorable Trapp children!)

Chapter 4: Their first Christmas with Liesl married (the same cuteness as in chap. 2 and 3 + Liesl's marriage + something for the Baroness's fan club!)

Chapter 5: Their first Christmas in England (cuteness and humour despite the exile)

Chapter 6: Their first Christmas at war (cuteness and humour - Phoney War, almost nothing happens)

Chapter 7: A Christmas in pieces (love and tradition are mixed with drama here. It's actually a great chapter, but only for those who can stomach a sadder chapter with grief and resilience, set in 1940)

Chapter 8: A Christmas at peace (the war is over, Anna will debut in two months, and everyone is looking forward to Georg being the usual protective father: a great way to conclude this story in 1945).
