Zuzu made sure to step away from the battle range before it begun. However, he didn't hesistate to make his thoughts known about Zephyr's opening move.
Leylo had been caught off guard by the Perish Song. He had no choice but to take down the dragon quickly. Pink sparks spitefully crackled off his hair as he tensed his shoulders and lept into action. His claws swiped at the sand as he barreled at Zephyr at full speed, a light growing in intensity from his body.
Zephyr's words echoled in his mind as he cut the distance. Laughing at his essense, laughing at his genuine attempt to reconsider his character. Not all dragons were bad, but this one's head was up in the clouds. His draconian behavior deserved punishment. How could someone be so self-centered? How could someone look down on others so deeply? How could Arceus allow pokemon like him to have such a degree of political power? To be so privileged, yet stuck up like a poison?
How could you look in the mirror, and be okay with your SELFISHNESS and ARROGANCE?
Zuzu wildly cheered at the direct hit, drawing out the popplio that had been hidden behind his palm tree.
Despite the rallying coming from his team, their voices were almost like white noise to the grimmsnarl. He was focused on one pokemon, and he wasn't going to let him return to his feet. Hair whipped through the air as he shot a barrage down on Zephyr like a net, ensnaring him and pinning his wings. The force of it popped out a few of the prince's precious, cloudy feathers like a pillow.
Something swelled inside Leylo. Was it pride? Justification? Pleasure? He stared down into the dragon's eyes with a wild, dark intensity. A gutteral growl begun to vibrate into Zephyr's bones as the fae slowly drew his face closer. He wasn't weak anymore- he evolved. Pokemon like this prince should fear him.
A demonic roar erupted from the grimmsnarl's jaws, piercing the air and flying down the shore.
Alyse shot up at the hellish sound, recognizing it to be Leylo. It had to be Leylo. Without another thought they sprinted down the shore in the fight's direction.

Actual unscripted conversation I had with @/kuixotic and it only dawned on me at the end of the day that I could see Gwynn and Ivor having a similar conversation GHDSGH. I didn't edit the language to match their full characters bc I'm tired and sleepy and this was a quick shitpost. So that’s why “fairy boy” and “lizard boy” are in there lol
I was getting on kuix for working on blog updates at 3am and then it devolved into getting on my exercise routine lmfao. I just couldn't remember what the general recommended amount of exercise is supposed to be, in my brain it's been 2 hours a day because that’s a norm to me ghdsg

This has been overdue for some years now but I'm much happier with this new ref. Really wanted to make him easier to draw repeatedly for the askblog while keeping elements he's had before I started associating him with Peter Pan stuff.
For at least a year I'd been fighting on whether to change his hair color to purple because I really liked it, but he's had white hair Forever. I think this is a good change though.
