To bring it to you one night,

So it would become our light,

In our bright lamp.

Your wrinkles are my delight,

That trace I in the night,

Your scars are letters in a book,

A book to read I would like.

I want to be little for you,

So you would feel strong again.

I want to be little for you,

So we could meet once again.

You will turn old,

I shall turn tall,

I shall bury you,

In the woods,

That grow near our home.

A poplar tree you will become,

The tallest tree in the woods,

And I shall become a swallowtail,

And once again I would

Sit on your shoulder,

You would hold me close,

And this would be our rebirth.
