I don't think "antizionist jews" making "antizionist" versions of siddurim, hagadot, etc understand how much they're actually just. proving that zionism and Israel cannot be separated from judaism
if you have to edit, rewrite and butcher our texts to remove Israel from them, then maybe you can't actually be a Jew without acknowledging that Israel is important to jews.
One thing I keep seeing a bunch of Leftists online doing is a. talking about how much they love 'Prince of Egypt' and how great it is, but it's such a pity the (((zionists))) ruined it or whatever and b. making fake live action castings for the movie but refusing to put any Jewish or Israeli actors in there because they're all (((zionists))) and evil---while also, hilariously, refusing to cast any Egyptians either because for all their posturing about how Not Racist they are and how important Representationâ˘ď¸ is to them, they don't actually care.
And like, for both a. and b. ...what movie are they fucking watching?
Literally the first five minutes of the movie have Jews singing to G-d, asking him to deliver them "to the promised land"...WHAT FUCKING PROMISED LAND DO THEY THINK THEY'RE SINGING ABOUT???
It's Israel!!! Obviously it's not talking about the modern state of Israel, but it's talking about the land of Israel, but still!!! For a group of people dedicated to ignoring/denying Jewish indigeneity to the land, how exactly are they watching this movie and "loving it" apparently while still holding the opinions that they hold---ie. Jews are all white land stealing colonizers, not indigenous to the land, and Jews living in Israel is evil.
It makes no sense to me, Prince of Egypt is literally a zionist movie, in that it's about the Jewish people's return to the land of Israel. So how are all these "anti-zionist" idiots watching the movie and supposedly loving it? And how exactly does it make sense for them to be so "anti-zionist" that they won't even cast Jews to play Jewish roles because (((zionism))), when they're talking about a literal zionist movie? Like WHAT?
It just...I'm so confused.
Anyways, I'm currently rewatching it rn, so I'll probably be making my own casting for a "live-action" later (even though I think we should NEVER make a live-action, it's perfect as-is, but this is just for fun).
i hate the pervasive antisemitic myth that âchosen peopleâ in judaism means âg-dâs favorite, better than everyone elseâ at the best of times, but the irony of seeing it right now, during the season of Tisha BâAv, the period where famously the Jewish people felt abandoned by G-d and were not defended or prevented from suffering through the ages. Itâs⌠irksome to say the least.
Ask the people who support "armed resistance" for Palestinians to get their "land back" if they would also support Jews doing domestic terrorism to get their homes back in Germany, Poland, Yemen, Iraq, etc. and you will have your answer of what they actually support.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said âdonât follow me if we never even had a conversation beforeâ and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
Iâve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now Iâm wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that itâs totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if weâve never talked before.
Also, Iâm legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like itâs common sense but is that really a thing?
Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether youâve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they arenât and therefore will act like they arenât, but they are, trust me.
Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
Destroyed By Isis, This Ancient Syrian Synagogue Had Jaw-Dropping Murals
In 1932, the nearly intact ruins of a synagogue were excavated in Dura-Europos, a former garrison and trading center on the Euphrates river in eastern Syria. The shulâs construction was traced back to 244 CE, making it one of the oldest in the worldâat least until ISIS destroyed it in 2013.
Other than its prodigious age, what made the synagogue remarkable were its extraordinary wall paintings. Not fresco, but tempera over plaster (a fast-drying paint made from egg yolk), the paintings are elaborate and gorgeous, depicting narratives from the Torah: Moses leading Hebrews from Egypt, Moses receiving the Ten Commandments, Isaacâs close-call, and Ezekielâs insane visions.
Scholars have speculated that the Greco-Roman style wall-work was probably done by different artists, and may have served an educational purpose. Itâs also thought that the art, unusual for synagogues, found its genesis in a desire to compete with the other major religionsâcompetition bred beauty. Like Miss America, for ancient synagogues. And it explains why the original archaeologists mistook it for a Greek temple.
Fortunately, the wall paintings were safely moved from the site long before ISIS destroyed the place of worship. Tiles can be seen at the Museum of Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and the walls themselves are on full, reconstructed display at the National Museum of Damascus. But we donât recommend going there.

if you or someone you know might need it in the next few years, purchase plan b. the shelf life of plan b is 4 years, and we might not be able to access it as easily as we can now in the days ahead.
if you are larger/plus size: go online and purchase ella instead of plan b. plan b is less effective if you arenât under 160 pounds.
if you can, purchase books that project 2025 is looking to ban.
mass deportations are starting. if you see ice vehicles or agents, yell ice raid and la migra as loud as you can.
if someone asks who you voted for, keep your mouth shut. theyâre fishing for traitors.
if anyone, anyone at all asks about your neighbors or their legal status in the us, you know nothing. donât be the reason that their family is separated.
if anyone asks about your religion or lack thereof, keep it vague. this administration will look for any excuse to persecute you.
your friends are trans or queer? for the next four years theyâre not. donât expose anyoneâs status as a trans or queer person to anyone else, even if you think you can trust them.
did someone you know get an abortion? no, they didnât. they were never pregnant.
in short, donât be a snitch, and keep to yourself these next four years. weâll make it through this even if it seems hopeless at times.
we can survive this. weâve survived before, and weâll survive again.

Okay, I am a non-practicing Jew, and I know no one in Israel, but Iâd like to give my two cents about the war going on between Israel and Palestine and the current situation with Hamas.
I donât know enough about the situation, so I will not say that I support one or the otherâespecially since both show violence against their people, one account I used to follow even going as far as showing the mutilated corpse of a Palestinian child murdered by Israeli soldiersâbut what I will say is that I saw a video today posted and created by Alanâs Theory (or @alans_theory on Instagram), and he said best what I have been scared to verbalize more recently about the ordeal: that we need to hope for peace on both sides.
What Iâve been seeing from accounts that support either Israel or Palestine isâlike I saidâone or the other is right, that the other side is murdering people en masse, and that the other side is giving out propaganda. Iâve been conflicted, as a Jew and as someone who wants to fight for what is rightâbecause on one hand, Israel is the only country I know of that has been created with Jewish people in mind. The rest are Christian or Islamic. However, on the other hand, Palestinians deserve to live their lives free of war and persecution.
Then, thereâs the fact that both sides believe theyâre in the right, and there is no definitive answer as to what the truth is.
I donât feel like I can speak for either side, nor will I, butâas a Jew, and as a pupil of Archangel Michael, I implore everyone to be on the side of kindness and peace instead of hate and destruction. Especially if this war affects you and/or your loved ones, in any way possible.
I understand the anger, and I understand the prejudice, and I know that the tensions between both parties wonât happen overnight. However, this war will not end until at least one side is wiped out or both sides come to an agreement to make peace.
I just remembered I posted this, and here's what I have to say now that I've done actual research:
CW: this post talks about rape, sexual assault, kidnappings, pedophilia, abuse, murder, torture, antisemitism, and racism.
1. Hamas is a danger to Jews and Palestinians alike, and they must be eliminated. They have been the ones to violate EVERYđđťSINGLEđđťCEASEFIREđđť with Israel; they rape and maim both Jewish and non-Jewish Israelis both in captivity and among those who were murdered, they LITERALLY burn babies (NOT an exaggeration, look it up), they show children videos of the attack, they CELEBRATED murdering parents IN FRONT OF THEIR KIDS, AND they're lying to gain the sympathy of those who are uninformed and are trying to support BIPOC. FURTHERMORE, Israel has bomb shelters in all their newer buildings, while Hamas has had ZERO built for Palestinians.
2. Archaeologically, genetically, etymologically, and historically speaking, Jews and Judaism (as both a religion and an ethnicity) are indigenous to Israel and Palestine. The oldest recorded piece of evidence that suggests this dates back to 3000 BCE, long before the land of Judaea was renamed "Syria-Palaestina" by the Romans in 135 CE. Jews can find our Jewish ancestry through a DNA test (and to those who say "Oh, WeLl ThEy DoN't SaY tHaT tHeY cOmE fRoM iSrAeL, tHoUgH!!1!", go look up what "blood quantum" means). ALL, IF NOT MOST, of the cities in Israel and Palestine have Hebrew roots (some renamed, but still have Hebrew names in books that talk about our history and culture) Israel was named after an archangel Yisrael, which means "one who struggles with God". "Judaism" and "Jew" are literally named after Judaea, and there are many Jewish religious sites that have been there since before Islam even existed in Eretz Yisrael (Temple Mount, originally built in circa 1000 BCE and rebuilt 70 years after the Babylonians destroyed it in 586 BCE, vs the Al-Aqsa Mosque built on top of Temple Mount in circa 60 BCE).
3. There is NOT a genocide going on in Israel OR Palestine, and Israel is NOT an apatheid state, or else Arab Israelis wouldn't have the same rights as non-Arab Israelis, there WOULDN'T be Palestinians in the Israeli government, AND Israel would be going after other Arab nations unprovoked. I can't say how Arab Israelis or how Mizrachim/Sephardim are treated by civilians in Israel, but when you say "apartheid", what you're saying is that Israel is an equivalent to the Jim Criw era US.
4. Antizionism is antisemitism. Zionism is, in its most barebones meaning, the belief that Jews deserve the right to claim indigeneity to Eretz Yisrael. So, denying us that would be like one opposing the Landback movement because they don't think Indigenous Americans were here first, and it's exactly like those saying that science backs the eurocentric idea that there are only two genders and that therefore, trans people can't exist. Denying the science that states that neurobiology can determine one's gender is widely considered to be transphobic, so why is denying the history of the world's most-anciently-marginalized group not antisemitic? Also, a lot of the people being held by Hamas aren't Jewish, but they were taken just because they live in the world's only Jewish state, and one of the most widely-known Jewish holidays (Chanuka) is literally a Zionist holiday, so please don't tell me that they're two separate things.
5. I still think that there should be peace, all that said, and I now understand pressuring Hamas to bring the hostages home will do that much quicker than urging Israel to accept defeat and let Hamas commit a mass genocide of a largely-diverse group of people.
And, furthermore, I urge everyone to be kind and call out Islamophobia, racism, and antisemitism when you see it. It doesn't matter who you are; Arabs, Muslims, Jews, Palestinians, and Israelis all need your support right now, and it would really go a long way if we all condemned the hatred coming from every side.
Iâve been diagnosed with two separate neurotypes recently, and I keep asking myself if maybe youâre autistic too. Nothing can excuse the pain you have willingly caused me, my half-brother, or our mothers, and you should definitely get tested for narcissistic personality disorder if you would be willing to get help, but part of me also wonders if some of your tendencies are from autism.
Because I sure as hell didnât get that from my mom, but you used to spend your days after work in your âman caveâ doing nothing. With my mom, you were weird about her asking for help because you felt like you had to do it her way (which has never been true), and thatâs the same reason why I ask how others do something Iâm tasked with before I do it so I know what everyoneâs looking for. You hate change and social interaction. And on top of all that, youâre horrible at communication.
Of course, that last part could just be due to your dyslexia, since youâre especially bad at reading and writing, but I still have to wonder if youâre autistic like me. If your âtantrumsâ where you would yell at me and my mom werenât just meltdowns, or if youâre even diagnosed with some form of autism already, since you werenât even the one to tell me about your dyslexia diagnosis.
Again, youâve hurt me and those youâve claimed to love, and nothing will ever change that, but a part of me wonders if part of that is you having autism and no one realizing that.
