I see me

Maybe it’s because I’ve never really trusted what Hollywood represents. To me, it’s long since drifted away from art and into something driven by visibility, strategy, and popularity, something that often flattens what once felt real. There’s something almost dystopian about it.

That’s also why Hudson and Connor stood out to me in the first place. There was something unpolished, genuine almost untouched about them.

So watching them this weekend felt strangely conflicting. On one hand, I genuinely want success for them. I’m excited to see what they create and where they go next. But at the same time, there’s a quiet sense of loss. As if Hollywood has already started to claim them.

I just hope they manage to hold on to whatever it was that made them feel real to begin with.
