maybe it's your friend, who seems to break under the weight on their shoulders, staring at you with hollow eyes, full of fear. maybe it's your enemy, showing a strange amount of care for someone they vowed to destroy only a single day ago. and they know things about you, things you're sure you never told them, things that were your secret. how do they know? something bad is happening, or is going to happen, you can feel it.

This is an interest check for having a week dedicated to creating fanworks (both art and fic!) for BlazingWorld - the ship for Klein (or Gehrman, take your pick) and Danitz.

This is such a perfect backstory for our dear lenny boi!!! We do have angst of leonard not being sure if his grandpa ever really liked him or if he just needed him for his powers and pallez getting attached to his experiment and now fearing that amon is going to start targeting him and slowly trying to distance leonard from himself leading to leonard thinking that maybe pallez doesn't want him anymore cause he's useless and we just have an infinite loop hehehe oh my god this is so so lovely 😭😭

(and somehow leonard still managed to get involved with amon in some form heh)

ah but you see, you've brought up Klein. and I simply cannot stop thinking about Klein, so now I'm going to expand on my points on why Klein is exhibiting Perfectly Reasonable behaviour.

so, the smiling when distressed is actually a great technique. smiling tricks your brain into thinking there's something to smile about, and is a bit like saying egotistical jokes instead of self depreciating ones. (plus, you can hide that you're freaking out from all your friends! who would probably worry about you if they knew you were upset! which is Bad because they might try to help but there's nothing that can be done and you don't want them to worry so ofc you pretend everything is fine, because it's better than them trying to do something impossible. like fixing your problems.)

then the peering back at god part. well. look. he's literally proven TWICE that he Cannot die from doing this. the fog wooshes in and fits his melting body back together again. all he has to do is take a look, (endure incredible amounts of agony,) and then he gets info out of it! high level info! and items!!!
