If I had a nickel for every time the "Sonic" franchise introduced a new Dragon character who was notable for being clumsy but nonetheless acted as a Guardian for her species, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

Finally caught up enough on my Weekly Pics that I can start posting them one at a time again! Obviously still a bit late for April Fool's, but in keeping with that puckish spirit, our theme this time is all about Evil Dopplegangers! And when it comes to the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series, we're weirdly spoiled for choice in that category, but I decided to go with one of the very first, Pseudo Sonic! Fun bit of trivia: when I was a kid, due to the shared emphasis on bolted plates in their designs, I always thought Pseudo Sonic was the same character as the Mecha Sonic from "Sonic the Hedgehog 2".

Finally wrapping up Kaijanuary, and naturally I decided to bring it to a close with one of the most iconic Kaiju of them all. Since my planned composition wouldn't include Mothra's iconic wings, I decided to put my own spin on the outfits of her twin fairies, the Shobijin, to incorporate the wings' patterns into them, something I'm actually a bit surprised to realize has not, to my knowledge, ever been done in any official Godzilla and/or Mothra media.

Finally picking Kaijanuary back up after Real Life threw a couple big ol' curveballs at me that kept me from keeping up with it, and who better to take up that Kaiju Spirit than the indomitable Jet Jaguar? Went with the "Singular Point" version specifically in no small part because I've spent the last several months with him as one of my favorite units in "Super Robot Wars Y".
