Friday's Film/Photography workshop in Peckham. I'm working with some of the most talented young people. I know in future some of these young people will be our business owners, doctors, lawyers, engineers and even photographers. I'm so proud to be accepted and be apart of their great family 😊. When I was young growing up in Brixton, Peckham was like a no go area even though I used to go there to visit some friends. Today I voluntarily go Peckham most Fridays for the past few months to run a film/Photography workshop with these intelligent young young people (in the picture). The picture was taken on this Friday our first session together as we plan our first short film. When I was young living in Brixton, I had an addiction of watching gun shows on YouTube. I then meet a photographer by the name @simonwheatleyphoto, who came into my world saw what I was into and told me this "Just like a gun, you can take the camera, aim the camera and shoot with the camera. The only thing is in this way no one gets hurt, the story stayed in my head for years and years later I have also taught many other young people the same thing. Another mother/ father lost their son in the hand of some teenage boys. When will it change or when will they see that we are our brothers keeper. We are destroying our families by ourselves. No mother or father on this earth wants their child to die before them but yet why are so many young boys dying before their time?. It is sad when you continue to hear things like this. My highlight of this year was sitting down with a group of young people and @rioferdy5 to talk about our communities, young people, jobs etc. I am a united fan so meeting Rio made my day as a United fan but it also made me respect the man more for his honest conversation with the group and myself. #endz2endz, #rio, #rioferdinand #positiveview, #fivemagazine, #livity, #youngpeople, #youth, #community, #united, #conversation.

Yesterday theatre play by the young people of Peckham was so incredible, I really enjoyed watching them act and they did it so well you would have thought these young people have been acting for years. For most of them it was their first time but their performance were so amazing. I wish you were there to experience it with me in support of the youth.
