âWhy are you panicking over random thingsâ Iâm traumatized.
âWhy are you acting so weirdâ Iâm traumatized.
âWhy are you anxious all the timeâ Iâm traumatized.
âWhy canât you talk about your pastâ Iâm traumatized.
Anyone else ever feel like the reason PTSD is considered a âsimple disorderâ in the mental health community is bc trauma has been watered down into any bad thing that happens to you ever, leading to more ppl self diagnosing themselves with it, which only further causes it to be watered down bc no one actually knows what PTSD is anymore apparently.
Like if you werenât born in the middle of a plane crash, had both of your thumbs and all ten toes cut off, deprived of food and water for 6 months, and watched your entire family explode right in front of you then youâre being dramatic and other ppl have it worse(and itâll definitely be made into a competition)â but also if the only trauma that ever happened to you was you stubbing your toe in 4th grade then youâre totally valid bc trauma effects everyone differently!!
"Endogenic systems have zero terms that aren't stolen" BE SO FOR REAL WITH ME. Hey. Hey. Where does the term system come from. Where does the term alter come from. Where does the term part come from. Where did the idea of systems come from. Could it be that.... the only reason endogenic systems exist is because they saw CDDs and wanted to make them non-disordered? Genuinely look me in the face and tell me that if CDDs NEVER existed, endogenic systems would have existed. You guys literally stole the ENTIRE CONCEPT OF A SYSTEM and stripped it of everything except for "haha fun alters". I don't wanna hear about your pussy ass EnDoS dOnT hAvE a SiNgLe TeRm ThAt IsNt StOlEn motherfucker you stole an entire disorder and turned it into a roleplay đđđ
Pro endo cdd systems when the group formed out of a cdd hate group starts to actually act like one (they had no idea the leopards were going to eat THEIR face!)

Listen to me carefullyâŚ
You will not be shot in the street if you get a diagnosis.
The doctors arenât out to get you.
Strangers donât know your medical history.
You are not required to tell your school or job your medical history.
You will not be personally hunted for sport if you go to the doctor.
The older I get the more tired I get of ppl treating PTSD like a catch-all personality label instead of an actual disorder. Like yaâll do realize that itâs a real disorder right? Itâs not something you automatically have just bc you went through something bad, itâs a specific list of criteria and symptoms.
I have my own opinions about self diagnosis that arenât really relevant, but at the very least if you claim to have PTSD letâs please make sure you ACTUALLY experience symptoms of PTSD. You donât have PTSD if nothing actually happened to you(aka watching a scary YouTube video as a kid does not count sorry), if you donât have flashbacks or nightmares, anxiety, triggers that are directly related to your trauma in some way, or any of the other required diagnostic criteria.
Ik I sound like your doctor when I say this but please consider other disorders when self diagnosing. You could have anxiety, depression, acute stress, thereâs so many other things it could be. Donât jump straight to PTSD please for the love of god.
a lot of ppl are mad at me for saying "your entire system shares a brain" and i think that says smth abt sysblr.
Alot of sysblr is very âwe are SEPARATE entities!! Treat us as such!â And its like âacktuchally treat us like none of us have system accountability and if ONE alter does somethibg thats that alters problem!!â
No. You are one person. I dont know whatelse to say. You share one brain and one body. Take accountability for your headmates and deal with the hurt they cause.
ok I endured it. now what!!!!!!!!!

âNot everyone has the privilege required to seek a diagnosis and medical treatmentâ and âClaiming to have conditions with zero confirmation from actual medical professionals harms both you and the communities youâre claiming to be a part ofâ are two statements that can and should coexist. Yâall if you think you have something then just say you THINK you have it, itâs not that hard.
I tend to think of it in terms of âif a certain framework helps you, then use it. If resources meant for a specific disorder help you, then you should be able to use them regardless of if you have said disorder or not.â Diagnoses are really just there to provide a treatment plan, thatâs all theyâre really good for. A diagnosis is definitely not required to just live your life with the thing and I donât think you should need a diagnosis or even a medical professionalâs opinion to say you have it. A lot of medical professionals arenât even trained to spot a lot of shit, like complex dissociative disorders. Hell, a lot of medical professionals donât even believe theyâre a real thing! You know yourself best, if everything youâre experiencing lines up with the disorder youâre looking into, thereâs a good chance you have it, and looking into resources for that disorder to try and help ease symptoms is a perfectly fine thing to do. And if it doesnât help, then thatâs fine. Maybe you donât have it or maybe that specific resource/technique isnât for you. Being wrong isnât an irredeemable crime. You should be allowed to be wrong. The only real problem with saying you have a disorder when you donât actually have it is the potential for misinformation, and I do acknowledge that. Misinformation is obviously bad but I donât really fault people for spreading misinformation about their experiences as long as they are willing to be open-minded about corrections.
I am obviously biased tho as a DID system that isnât diagnosed and never will be. I didnât need a medical professional to tell me I had it, I was able to figure it out on my own and most of my treatment was on my own. I just donât think you should bar people from saying they have something they know they have just because they havenât consulted a medical professional about it. Obviously tread with caution, donât rush things, but you shouldnât need a doctor to confirm something like that if you donât even have access to one in the first place and youâre sure you have it. If youâve done your due diligence, then say you have it, I donât care if a doctor was involved in that or not.
You absolutely do NOT know yourself best when it comes to mental or physical health(but esp mental). Personal bias is real and it heavily impacts the way you view yourself and by extension your health. I agree that ppl should be able to treat themselves however they see fit, but that doesnât mean they can just run around saying they have something with literally zero confirmation. Ppl always bring up how SOME doctors arenât trained on every disorder known to man, but thatâs what specialists are for. Obviously your general practitioner isnât gonna know everything about DID or likely a lot of psychology at all bc thatâs not their specific field. As little knowledge as some doctors have, regular people have 10x as little, we are not professionals, we havenât gone to school for it, all we can do is google stuff and guess. Slapping a lab on yourself is harmful, even if it comes from a good place; bc like you said, diagnosis is really only good for determining professional treatment plans so thereâs no reason to do that if youâre not seeing a professional anyway. Itâs not a crime to be wrong, but that doesnât mean itâs ok to essentially lie to yourself and everyone around you just bc you want a label. Saying you suspect it has the same effect, just say you suspect it.
âNot everyone has the privilege required to seek a diagnosis and medical treatmentâ and âClaiming to have conditions with zero confirmation from actual medical professionals harms both you and the communities youâre claiming to be a part ofâ are two statements that can and should coexist. Yâall if you think you have something then just say you THINK you have it, itâs not that hard.
"Traumagenic system" you mean normal system? heh.. just a glimpse into how pwCDD my mind has become... hehe....
It's tourettes awareness month! I wish I wasn't aware and instead I'm making everyone else aware
"you aren't owed kindness from the entire system just bc some of us are your friends" WRONG!
1. people are allowed to be upset if you're mean to them.
2. holy dodging system accountability.
3. you're all the same brain. it's actually normal to expect your friends to be nice to you.
4. if you're consistently a jerk to your friends and dodge it with "well that PART doesn't like you" you're sort of an asshole. that person deserves decency. handle it within your system mayhaps.
idk just. my bf read this post out to me and holy entitled.
also like. you're not all actually separate human beings. you're dissociative parts of the same psyche.
do you know that? it's important to me that you know that.

People with BPD and CPTSD are allowed to talk about their experience with dissociation and dissociative parts and them doing so does not take away from the fact that systems also experience these things
Now that the simplyplural shutdown panic is mostly over can I finally say that I think this shutdown was actually a very good thing bc itâs reminded everyone that these things are infact just random apps and you donât need them to survive
