"Theories on DID" are not "just" theories. Theories are well researched, well established, and supported by the scientific community. Evolution is a theory. How gravity works is a theory. But you probably wouldn't write off either of them as "just" theories.

This comes off like you're saying "we can't trust science," which is how endos tend to defend themselves. Here's a good post with a lot of details on that and more. If someone's experience doesn't match with the most accepted scientific theory on DID then they need to do more critical research on what could be happening for them without just rejecting a theory they don't like.
