This Is Fine

Basically, Thomas Sanders (who, btw, is gay) used to be basically the celebrated Unproblematic Fav Uwu of Tumblr and Vine. Everyone loved him, everyone praised him for being inclusive and positive, making fun and unique vines that were appropriate and enjoyable for any age group.

Then one day he got an aphobic ask (I honestly don’t remember what this was even in response to, I think it was some really innocent one-off “I hope asexuals have a good day” type of post or something like that, idek), to which he wrote a long and sincere response that basically summed up to “Hey, that’s not a nice attitude to have, please take a moment to think about how other people must feel and why it’s so important to you to shut them down”

Within literal hours (and this is something I witnessed myself, I was online when it all went down), a smear campaign against him had started. Suddenly even people who had previously been huge fans of him were shit-talking him left and right, declaring him cringey, and grasping at straws to make “callout posts” for him. One popular argument I remember hearing was- And I shit you not, I am not making this up- He was a “pedophile” because he made videos for a family demographic and has a young-looking face, but was 29 or whatever and therefore “pretending to be a kid” or whatever the fuck. He even, gasp, made vines about high school, despite not being a high schooler himself! (Dan Green voice) That’s called “acting”, children!

His popularity never really recovered, and these days he’s mostly considered “cringey” by a large portion of the internet due to the main demographic most of his fans fall into, because you know it’s hip and cool to shame young girls and queer kids for the things that bring them joy.

1. He has tags for not quite safe for work selfies on his blog (#nsfw and #tsbutt) (not nudes or even lewds, just pictures including his clothed butt.)

2. He accepts nsfw fanart from fans, but ONLY if the artist is 18+

3. There was ONE time where an underage artist submitted a nsfw art piece and Thomas posted it, because said artist removed their age from their bio, so Thomas had no idea it was made by a minor. He deleted the post as soon as this information came to light.

But exclusionists took all of this, mashed it with their “oh but he’s so childish, he acts like a kid even though he’s nearly 30, he must be hiding something!” And ran so far with it that Thomas Sanders severely suffered for it. Even his fans got shit for liking him. A lot abandoned him out of fear that a similar campaign would start against them.

random headcanon: Etihw could easily heal her injury underneath her eyepatch, but Grora actually cares less about her lost eye as opposed to feeling the shame of her shattered pride when she was overpowered and beaten by Ater during the war when the gory incident had gone down. Obviously she would never admit this and mostly just uses the loss of the eye as an excuse around it.

unpopular opinion: as she currently is in canon, i find her character kind of lackluster compared to some other characters in TGG (though i hope that will change), but i like her still because fandom usually makes her more interesting and less one-dimensional anyway.

random headcanon: Moge-ko is secretly a fan of Barbie and has bloody tea parties with them, like, uses the blood of mogekos as the tea and cuts the dolls’ heads and screws with their plastic limbs. This is because she has no memories of having a childhood and wants to try and replicate it. Nobody knows this. Not even the mogekos themselves.

unpopular opinion: objectively one of the better villains in dsp-verse who actually makes you feel a sense of dread.

the closest to a domesticated ghost we have is the house ghost, Phantome domus (sometimes classified as a distinct subspecies Phantome domus domesticus).

P. domus is interesting because it’s like housecats – they are technically domesticated (scans have shown that the fight-or-flight response, like in domesticated animals, is weaker in P. domus than in related species like P. majestica, the manor ghost, or P. more, the cemetary ghost), but evidence suggests that it’s a naturalistic co-evolution rather than an intentional domestication process like with sheep or dogs.

favorite thing about them: her entire character progression honestly? how she went from being a meek and obedient servant for god to being a carefree and letting her joviality shine without needing to hide any parts of herself, and how much she enjoys the freedom and being who she actually wants to be. i just have a lot of feels about her haha...

unpopular opinion: I do not think Chlomaki is intentionally "cruel" or "a bitch" like i've seen people describe her as. her casual slapstick and slightly less than pleasant attitude most likely stem from her time in land of clouds where she was literally tortured/abused and never allowed to ask questions/act out against the norm. it's a little more nuanced but that's basically the short version of how I feel about it

Alright then let’s go *clears throat*

1.) My favorite thing about Chlomaki is her chill personality, it’s just amusing when in WATGBS everyone is panicking and dying and she’s like: “huh, weird. Anyways-“ It’s not that she doesn’t care per day, it’s just that she knows when she should step in or not.

2.) That being said her carefree attitude can be a little disconcerting. Lobco goes missing in a dangerous world filled with psychotic demons and she’s like: “eh-“ Like come on girl that’s your friend!! Do something!! Please!

3.) I can’t remember the exact quote but it’s something like. “They remind me of the past.” when she talks about rainbows. It’s something I imagine she says with a solemn tone, one that Wadda can’t decipher.

4.) brOTP has to be her and Wadanohara. It’s something about Wadda that just brings out the uwu in (some) people. She’s noticeably softer around Wadda and even does her best to give her advice. It’s rare to see this caring side of Chlomaki but I enjoy it!

5.) OTP is her and Fungas, I don’t know too much about them but they seem like a great pair. Fungas isn’t afraid to tell her stuff straight up or to show his affection to her and I think that’s someone Chlomaki needs. Someone who can handle teasing and isn’t afraid to tease back is a must.

6.) nOTP is Chlomaki and Fumus. This is explanatory. Just. I hate him. I hate him so much.

7.) Random HC! Chlomaki hates it when people talk down to her, reminds her of her time with a certain asshole. When the Great Witch does so as well it pisses her off. She’s not a damn child so don’t treat her like one!

8.) Unpopular opinion- Chlomaki does care a lot more than she lets on. She’s portrayed as a mean goth kitty girl, but she genuinely does care about the people in her life. A tsundere if you will, but definitely a less exaggerated one.

9.) A song that reminds me of her is BABE by Hyuna, outwardly a very pop and catchy song but really disturbing and depressing when you look at the lyrics.
