BEHOLD, MY DIONILLA AU!! (sort of WIP)🩸🍷💋 [Yap alert]
Headcanons:
- This AU is set at DIO’s mansion in Egypt during part 3 (Stardust Crusaders).
- The time is July, 1989. They have been together since October, 1988, slonly but comfortably building a strong foundation for their relationship. The Crusaders arrived in January, 1989, while they were 3 months in, and then came DIO’s confession of being tired and wanting peace.
- Stage they’re at = touching/kissing more and even making out more in heavily romantic private moments, AKA 2nd to 2nd-and-a-half base. Highest step is moking out. They're not going beyond that just yet. They're comfortably taking their time.
- DIO is turning 122 years old while Vanilla Ice is turning 28. DIO’s birthday is July 26th, 1867 ♌️ and Ice’s is July 18th, 1961 ♋️.
- DIO is 6' 5” with almost-curly golden blonde hair, sort of like a mullet, and caramel brown eyes that glow in light. Vanilla ice stands at 6' 2" with long, wavy, middle-parted dark brown hair and brown eyes.
- Their love origin story is kinda tragic in my opinion and made me cry while coming up with the concept for it.
- Vanilla Ice always had hidden feelings for DIO, but took a while to admit them because he had a fear DIO didn't care or feel the same, when in reality, after finding out, DIO made him feel seen and heard. First, Ice told T. D'arby (the gamer D'arby brother, J. D'arby being the gambler) and Hol Horse, and eventually plucked up the courage to tell DIO directly after DIO noticed Ice's tension. When Vanilla Ice confessed, he hugged DIO and he couldn't hold back the tears anymore. DIO felt oddly...good, and kind of hugged him back, thinking to himself and feeling in his heart that he feels the same a little, fighting back his own slight emotions.
- Vanilla Ice has always been SO devoted, protective, and possessive of DIO. He is very much captivated by his body, voice, presence, touch, words, and mind. He described him as beautiful, radiant, and god-like.
- Now, Vanilla Ice is no longer DIO's servant. Only the best servants get promoted to "boyfriend". Ice is still working on acting less like servant since he's much more than that to DIO. In, fact, him and DIO become like some sort of family along with the servants around. Purely domestic instead of dutiful.
- Both men are vampires, but Vanilla Ice was originally human. He became a vampire through devotional sacrifice, but DIO healed him with his own blood, turning him vampiric like himself.
- Vanilla Ice physically cannot be separated from DIO and is more often than not within 6 feet of him.
- T. D'arby supports their relationship, but is kind of annoyed when they get more lovey-dovey than expected. By that, I mean they spend too much time together in his opinion. Hol Horse supports too.
- Vanilla Ice is gay, DIO is bisexual.
- DIO is secretly sympathetic deep down and learned to laugh and smile with Vanilla Ice, which makes Ice's heart melt even more knowing DIO is capable of feeling genuine emotions like joy.
- Sometimes, T. D'arby sneaks photos of Vanilla Ice and DIO together, like one time where they were asleep in DIO's bed together, Ice resting on DIO's chest. He shows Hol Horse the photos, and Hol Horse is always like "Dude, what if DIO sees them??”.
- Vanilla Ice oddly makes DIO laugh, smile, and blush so easily. It drives DIO a little insane, but in a good way.
- DIO calls Vanilla Ice "Ice" for short, but eventually grows to call him "Darling", "Love", etc, which completely melts Ice. Vanilla Ice calls DIO "My love". DIO’s better with pet names.
- Vanilla Ice loves teasing and joking with DIO because he wants to hear him laugh.
- DIO is flirty with Vanilla Ice and likes to watch him squirm. It's like an infinite contest of "who can outfluster the other".
- DIO is secretly a softie and SUPER adorable when he wants cuddles in bed. I can totally imagine him and Vanilla Ice in bed at night, and he puts an arm around Ice, sleepily muttering "C’meeere...", pulling him closer. Absolute peak gay cinema, lol.
- DIO's the dominant one here most of the time.
- Vanilla Ice is like "I can't, he's too beautiful-" about DIO. Men can be beautiful too, yes, especially DIO. Tall, blonde, and gorgeous as hell. Slayyyyyy.
- DIO often lifts Vanilla Ice's chin out of habit, while speaking to and flirting with him as well as just being affectionate towards him.
- It's hard to say "I love you" at first because they're still nerve-wracked by feelings, but when they do, it's the BEST feeling. They've warmed up to it.
- DIO is English, Vanilla Ice is American.
- DIO eventually changed his mind about ending the Joestar bloodline like "You know what? Forget it. Staying here with Ice is more enjoyable. I've had enough chaos in my lifetime already."
- The two men don't initially know what to call themselves as a couple. They knew they're boyfriends, but they didn’t know how to express it, calling each other "my boyfriend" or something like that. Vanilla Ice was just so used to calling DIO "master" and "lord" because of his life as a servant to him. Now, he's something more, but continues protecting DIO. They eventually learned how to say "You're my boyfriend" to each other and love it.
- Their first kiss was electrifying. DIO has always been an incredible kisser.
- There's so much passion between them they initially don't know how to express or act on.
- Vanilla Ice finds little things about DIO adorable, including his laugh and his yawn.
- DIO sleeps during the day cuz nocturnal vampire, but he sleeps more and better with Vanilla Ice there.
- Since both are vampires, they need blood to stay alive. DIO has no problem harvesting it from unsuspecting victims captivated by the mansion's mystery, but Vanilla Ice, since he's newer to vampirism, isn't quite as used to it.
- Night vision/Being able to see in the dark is a new ability to Ice since becoming a vampire. DIO's already used to it. DIO keeps candles and dim lamps lit around the mansion for his human servants who can't see in the dark. (N'Doul can't see AT ALL, poor guy. He's canonically blind.)
- DIO's gaze pierces straight through Vanilla Ice's heart, like a wooden stake, whenever he looks at him. DIO could literally do ANYTHING and Ice would get flustered. (DIO: *Breathes*, Vanilla Ice: *Simping intensifies-*)
- Holly (Jotaro's mom) never got sick, but the Crusaders went to Egypt anyway out of suspicion and found out about the Dionilla relationship after arriving in January of 1989.
- DIO is still dangerous and wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone who gets in his way or is bad towards him and Vanilla Ice, plus anyone who opposes him. But, he doesn't seem like it when he's with Vanilla Ice and world domination isn't a priority anymore. DIO just wants peace and to be happy deep down. He initially thought he would be satisfied by taking over the world, but Ice and the feelings he gained from him disproved that. DIO said something in the Stone Ocean anime flashbacks along the lines of you can’t find joy or peace with an “invincible body or vast riches”. Heaven to him is all about peace, and he found it in Ice.
- DIO's a bit of a jokester/trickster to the Crusaders and he thoroughly enjoys it.
- Vanilla Ice is the first person to truly understand and accept DIO 100%. DIO fell even further after a confession one night where DIO admitted he's tired of being chased and labeled as a bad guy, because he's always just been trying to survive and he's tired and wants to live in peace. Vanilla Ice reassures him that he understands and will help with that. They become more physical, and DIO smiles, blushes and laughs more. The cause of the DIO admitting his exhaustion was an encounter with the Crusaders acting like he's just like any other villain. He's not, and he never was, turns out.
- Their love is slow-burn and getting stronger over time.
- They can be a little silly together and it's so much fun.
- It is a canon event that they often (if not always) have matching outfits. (They kind of match in the anime)
- They are most intimate in bed, getting up to cuddling, sharing little kisses, nuzzling, DIO being very adorably happy but not denying it (he denied it at first), giggling his heart out, Vanilla Ice taking it all in because he loves the sound of DIO's giggling. He's a big dude, but that doesn't mean he can't be a cutie patootie. He’s definitely NOT like that around the other servants, at least at first.
- DIO's body is still human, so he can still get sick, and the original owner of the body (Jonathan Joestar) had the WORST immune system known to man. Ice gets really worried whenever DIO gets sick.
- Nowadays, DIO gets very giggly, smiley, and blushy around Ice, but only in private. It's adorable.
- They sometimes sneak away somewhere in the mansion for some intimate time, but a servant always somehow manages to hear or walk in on them.
- DIO is a little embarrassed by how much of a giggly teenage girl in love he acts like around Vanilla Ice.
- It's kind of Heartstopper-core. Just a little.
- Since they're vampires, they only go out at night. Their excuse to normal people is a regular sun allergy.
- Y'know, deep down, after his feelings for Ice post-confession really arose, there were heavy emotions in his heart that he somehow kept in for most of his life. If he was as sensitive as me, he would've started crying. DIO has always been perceived as the bad guy, even though he's only been trying to survive and get by since his mom died. Secretly, the thing he's always wanted in a person was someone who fully understands and accepts him for who he really is and can make him feel comfortable and happy.
- When Ice hugged him after confessing, tears were SO CLOSE to welling up, but DIO stayed strong, even though his emotional gate was close to breaking down.
- Vanilla Ice needs more hugs and loves receiving them. He's too shy to ask, but DIO eventually knows how to tell when he needs one. However, DIO is nervous about more physical affection because no one's ever wanted to give him it. DIO was also raised in a way where he thinks crying is showing weakness, but Ice allows it around him.
- DIO rarely cries, less than even Ice does! If DIO ever cried, it'd be the biggest deal to Ice. Ice doesn't cry often either, but they support each other regardless.
- They often hold hands while walking and sitting together. It gives both men a sense of safety, especially to Vanilla Ice.
- DIO has this habit of bopping his head onto Ice's shoulder when he's wanting attention, cuddles, security, comfort, or feeling tired/sleepy.
- DIO either wants to move or travel to France someday. Since DIO told him that, Vanilla Ice has been secretly planning the trip for their post-wedding honeymoon. In the lore timeline, they would get married in March of 1994. Ice doesn’t have the courage to ask for YEARS before finally proposing. Plus, their romance is slow-burn since neither of them are used to this kind of love.
- Even now, everything Vanilla Ice does is out of DIO's best interest.
- Ice can lift DIO bridal style.
- With their Stand abilities, they are space and time combined. (Based off something from a Kaleb I.A. video)
- Ice has the power of the unknown with his void Stand. DIO admits it’s a powerful ability to have. N’Doul is the 2nd strongest of DIO’s minions, but most likely 1st now that Ice is no longer just a henchman. N’Doul is very intelligent and has a 6th sense (since he’s blind) that has a wide range reaching kilometers. He primarily uses sound to detect where things are.
- DIO sees the worth of his strongest, namely Vanilla Ice and N’Doul, and wants to help them hone their skills. He doesn’t let anyone outside his circle see that side of him: the caring mentor side.
- Both DIO and Vanilla Ice are switches. In settings like cuddling and flirting, it could equally go either way.
- Whenever Ice puts his hair up, DIO is absolutely internally DECEASED from hotness overload.
- Vanilla has a secret passion for dance (inspired by a fan theory/AU) he hid for years. He showed DIO his phenomenal moves one day and DIO was wowed.
- DIO has a dust allergy. It can get really dusty in Egypt sometimes.
