I have another au idea for Gachiakuta. I was thinking what if the sphere was actually heaven and the ground was hell.
So Rudo falls due to someone framing him in heaven. Except Retgo is alive but in coma for the majority of the this. He falls and retains a bunch of his angelic stuff because he didn't actually do anything wrong. He stills faces the canon discrimination from the sphere.
He is found of course by the cleaners who expect him to be high and mighty like most angels but he's just himself. Maybe something happened and Rudo helps them kinda like a forced promxity type deal.
So instead since the cleaners are demons they are more like platonic yanderes who want to corrupt Rudo into becoming an actual demon/fallen angel to stay with them forever. However, plot kicks in when Retgo wakes him to find his son gone. Leading to heaven to find out they cast out an angel who didn't deserve to fall but after time in hell with the cleaners straight up refuses to come back. The cleaners+ all of hell are like " thats are angel now, fuck off you feathered shit lords".
In this au fallen angels/angels on the ground are just as rare as a living sphereite in canon. The fall usually kills them or they commit suicide pretty immediately cause they are all like "I'd rather die than become a demon" and the ground people are like ".....okay? Why the fuck would i care." Other than hating on them cause they still drop trash and turn hell even worse. So alot of the canon sphereite hate still translates.
