I woke this this morning to this comment left on one of my fics

I was half asleep so it took me a bit to realise that this is a scammer.

It seems that scammers have learnt from their obvious tells in the past.

Previously, scammers would leave vague comments from guest accounts before asking if you’d like to commission some art from them.

Now, it seems like they are starting to create AO3 accounts and are feeding either fic or tags into an AI to pump out a summary before offering the commission.

Here’s the scammer’s profile. Note the description (which seems to be the same for every account posting these comments) and the recent join date.

I received another comment this evening for the exact same scam, just a different profile.

This is a reminder! These are scams preying on the desire to have your fic illustrated and will not deliver! They will either take your money and run or give you something AI generated and will not accept any refunds!

Remember to block and report these comments so the abuse team can stop these scammers in their tracks!

Anyways, it’s a good thing I wasn’t planning on a commission and don’t have any money!

And the fact I was so happy that somebody noticed the detail about Ben until I kept on reading.

First off I don’t think it’s entirely crazy to say he would indulge in eating a few monsters, especially in earlier seasons. From sniffing dead bodies and his hunger being for raw meat I think there’s a lot of interesting potential there.

Starts slowly like when he explodes people and gets blood all over himself he licks his lips, licks his fingers ect. OR he sees blood and licks to to determine what kind of monster it is. Slowly turns into eating chunks of flesh after they kill a bunch of monsters because he’s curious. Dean and Sam scold him but are pretty desensitized to the gore in of itself so it’s more in a “dude, don’t do that. It’s a monster. Gross.” Way and not in a horrific “oh my god what are you doing?!” Way. Because it’s castiel. He’s a weirdo.

Okay to judge

- parasocial relationship

- denying abuse allegations which Wilbur admitted to

- the way he is trying to spread lies about the whole Stuart Semple thing

- claiming to be 2-Spirit without any acknowledged ties to indigenous heritage

- his lack of accountability and propensity to lie about things

Dependant

- his art and being OVERLY rude about it. I personally don’t like it and don’t understand the pricing but if all of that is what he wants to do, then sure, it’ll only really affect him in the end

- any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism seems pretty valid as to how he’s deciding to run his business or sell his necklaces (ie wearing them in “thirst traps” to sell them) but don’t conflate that with just insulting him looks wise

Disrespectful:

- anything about his gender identity

- the Jolene jokes were funny for a bit, as he himself was the person peddling the idea, but maybe try not to make that so big as it does tiptoe the boundaries of sometimes being a tiny bit weird considering he is trans and is almost adjacent to dead naming

- dogging on his looks and making rude caricatures of him is unnecessary

- the whole Antarctica thing is silly but insulting him about it seems kinda boring in comparison to the bigger issues

Cas: *in a cheap motel, heater broken* Dean.

Dean: Yeah buddy?

Cas: Can we sleep together?

Dean: …imsorrywhat?

Cas: You are cold, there’s no heating. I just thought that if we shared one bed for warmth we would-

Dean: Ohhhh *laughing* You know what? Sure, we can do that.

Cas: *human and suffering from chest pain* Dean, my chest hurts.

Dean: Okay, where on your chest?

Cas: *grabbing Deans hand, lifting his shirt and putting the hand on his bare abdomen* here.

Dean: *just freaking out* I’m- yeah- okay so that… it might be indigestion! I need to- demon. Kill. Later. Goodbye.

Cas: *staring at Dean in the impala, post hunt* You look good.

Dean: *confused* Dude, are you kidding? Im all sweaty and worn out and, shit man i even have motor oil on me.

Cas: I like when you look out of breath and dirty. It makes me feel… excited?

Dean: …

Cas: did I say something wrong?

Dean: No! No. Please keep saying- I mean… nothing. Ignore me.

Cas: Dean?

Sam: *who has been there the whole time* You know what? I can walk to Kansas.

Cas: From New Jersey?

There's room to be made listing Charlie, Knox, Pitts, Meeks and Todd, but Neil? Keating?

Cameron is in no way, shape, or form the enemy of those two. Neil died before any of the falling out happened, hell, his death is WHY the falling out happened. The last thing Neil ever saw of Cameron was him so genuinely happy and proud of his friend that of all the poets, he's the one that can't sit still. The last thing Neil ever saw of him was real, platonic, love.

Watch that scene again and then look me in the eyes and say he was EVER an enemy of Neil. In fact, I think Neil would be pissed if someone described them as such.

And Cameron, well, I'd say Cameron acted the way he did because he was so upset and grief stricken over Neil's passing that he just needed someone to blame (aside from Nolan and Mr. Perry because that would conflict Cameron's views on authority). He cared so deeply about Neil-- he could not be his enemy.

And then Keating? No, Keating understood Cameron. I can't see any world where he'd hold enough hatred within his heart for a child to be its enemy. Keating loved his boys, Cameron included. Watch the end scene of the movie again and then look me in the eyes and say Keating was looking at that kid with any resentment or contempt.
