I ranted the other day about my neighbour but then deleted it. I put it down to him just being new and moving in, and all the crashing and banging was him moving furniture and whatnot.

I was wrong. That's just how he is. A noisy prick.

All hours of the day there is slamming doors, banging, thumping, and general disruptive noise. But I can just about cope with that. It's not a huge thing.

What is a huge thing is him aggressively shouting and screaming when high. I got to sleep at 4am on Monday morning because he had his mates round. I had them shouting outside my bedroom window, slamming doors, crashing around in his flat, the constant noise of NO balloons being filled, balloons being popped.

Finally at 3am I knocked on and asked them to be quiet. Within a few moments of him closing the door after apologising he'd forgotten all about speaking to me and carried on.

So I spent all day Monday having panic attacks and crying. I felt so overwhelmed and unsafe. Then come Monday night, it starts again. This time it was just him alone in his flat. But I could hear him screaming out the same phrase on repeat for ages and again NO balloons being filled.

But I have a plan which will hopefully keep me sane.

I'm going to keep a record of every incident and if it keeps happening I'll report him to the landlord and council. And if his mates come back and the noise gets that bad again, I'll call the police. (it was scary with how aggressive they were and them leaving the main door of the building wide open.)

It has now gotten to the point where every Monday night/early Tuesday morning I have to deal with him screaming and shouting while he's high.

The police don't want to know. There's not crime being commit so they've told me to speak to the council. The council are being helpful but they also they that the police should be involved.

My landlord told me initially he was going to get evicted but it turns out they are waiting for the council to rehome him. That's not an eviction.

In the meantime I having constant panic attacks and living in a constant state of fight or flight. Every single time he gets high I think "today might be the say he follows through on his threat and burns the house down."

I went to view a flat close to my sister's on Monday and it was nice. So I've applied for that and just need to wait to see what happens there.

The cats are stressed after being bundled into their carriers and moved to a strange place. But it's not like they don't know my mum (they lived with here most of their lives) so I think they'll be fine.

Louder for the people in the back! (and I'm not saying this just as a Daniel/Vala shipper) but yes, they essentially hit the 'reset button' for s10 with RDA leaving and introducing a new baddie so it *does* makes sense to bring in a new leader and someone else to make it funky fresh. Plus it introduces new dynamics into the old ones so the established characters have to change and respond differently.

Right?

I never got why people were harping on Cam and Vala.

'he's trying to be funny like Jack but it falls flat.' No. Cam is funny, but in a different way than Jack with his 'happy campers' and 'in the MIDDLE of my BACKSWING?!'.

'Vala is just there for sex appeal' She's there looking good and having fun while doing it, yes, but she's also bringing a non-military/warrior solution to problems. And also bringing problems they'd never had had before.

He reminds me more of Sheppard, both new to the aliens and space travel. But they're like counterpoints? Cam takes it in stride on the go while John squints at an alien and focuses on the most normal part (its naked!?) because holy shit, an alien!

They both get whumped a lot but Cam gets up, dusts off and says, "Lets see you try that again, cos you won't. Momma did not raise a fool!" And then gets knocked down again anyway.

While John gets up because if he doesn't then someone else will be on the ground beside him (his worry, not actual truth) and he can't lose another teammate.

I was hoping for another day. It looks like we just got a whole lot more than that. Let's not waste it.
