how do you find all of your stuff? !! also, do u have any methods on how to find archived/old videos ? i loooouuuuvveee yor page so much thank you for existing 𼚠âď¸
Here is a little explanation to how i find flickr photos. This site is super good for finding old websites with cool graphics. For old video game related stuff I used this and this. The wayback machine will be your best friend when it comes to finding old content too, and I browse ebay occasionally for images of certain products. I recently discovered this site that has archived some really cool old sites. In the end though lot of the stuff I stumble upon by accident honestly, I search up something I'm interested in and happen upon some real treasures. I've found you can find stuff in some pretty unexpected places. Thank you so so much!! Your kind words mean a lot <3

My vampires CAN walk into the sunlight but doing so would reveal what they would look like if they aged normally
Younger vampires donât have much to worry about but older vamps have reason to avoid sunlight as they age. They are still immortal, but their aged, sunlit selves are significantly weaker than their non-sunlit forms. Vamps over 100 years old run the risk of crumpling over, fully immobile, but still conscious

i'd like to add that the shadow color isnt necessarily dictated entirely by the primary light source, but the bounce light! so for the example of a sunny environment, the reason the shadows are blue are because of the light from the blue sky reflects across the environment; but, if the character were to be under tree cover, the bounce light would be coming from the leaves and thus the shadow would look greener.
Yee yee!!! You got it right on the nose!
Bounce light is something I didn't cover but I adore it!
Gotta work on my bounce light đŞ
Ancient Persia, which was relatively next door to ancient Greece, was home to the Zoroastrians. This was a religion based on the teachings of their legendary founder, Zarathustra, or Zoroaster to the Greeks. The priests of this religion were called the Magi, Magos (get the proper transcription later) to the Greeks. So whenever you see ancient Greek literature referring to the Magi, we can safely assume they are referring to Zoroastrian priests, correct? Not so, dear reader. Over time, it is clear that in the Greek speaking world, âMagiâ became a general term for âany foreigner who does magic.â Eventually this was diluted even further to âanyone who does magicâ or even âa person who is wise.â
Dear reader, I am about to hit you with a long and complicated list of people who did âmagicâ in ancient Greece. I am about to detail many of the words used for these different types of practitioners. I want you to understand that these terms are just as slippery as the relationship between âmagicâ and âmagiâ.

suddenly in the mood to be helpful. is there any kind of art advice anyone would want me to give tips about
How do you get your head to....shut up?
I have a weird fear of failure where I struggle to start things as if there will be consequences if it's not good enough
oh thatâs easy! Do Bad Art!
as long as âgood enoughâ is your goal, you will never reach it. You canât be âgood enoughâ because âenoughâ doesnât mean anything.
My favorite advice irt Fear of Starting is from Rebecca Sugar in this QnA, where she says just start. You canât start over if you never start, and you can always start over.
When you think about it from a publishing perspective, an artistâs comics or animations will end up in bookstores or on tv. And OF COURSE there will be mistakes and it wonât be perfect! OF COURSE that artist is going to improve over time! But that doesnât mean their art wasnât worth getting published, or needs to get taken down as soon as they can do it better. Sometimes your âworseâ art will be perfectly acceptable, so let it be what it is!

I was asked by a friend yesterday if I could offer basic tips about comic paneling. As it turns out, I have a lot to say on the matter! I tried breaking down the art of paneling using the principles of art and design, and I hope it helps you out!
EDIT: uh uh there are a lot of people reblogging this, so i figure i may as well append this now while i can lol
This whole thing was very much cranked out in a few hours so I had a visual to talk about with a friend! If this gives you a base understanding of paneling, that's awesome! Continue to pull in studies from the comics you see and what other artists do well and don't do well! You can tell paneling is doing well when the action is flowing around in its intended reading format.
Here's the link to the globalcomix article from which I pulled the images about panel staggering! Someone sent in a reblog that it wasn't totally clear that the 7th slide mostly covers what NOT to do in regards to staggering, and that is my mistake!
I saw in a tag that someone was surprised I used MamaYuyu too, and I don't blame them lol. If I had given myself more than a couple hours maybe I would have added something else on, I just really admire MamaYuyu's paneling personally.
uh uh, final append: I am by no means a renowned master of paneling, so if you find anything off base here, by all means, counter it with your own knowledge and ways you can build upon from here! Art is always a sum knowledge of everything we find. đŞ

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back
additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you
useful terminology for different kinds of clothing shapes :)
Here's my guide to how I draw fat masc bodies! (please keep in mind that this is not an in depth tutorial. I only put the information that explains how my brain interprets it)
as requested on my stream, a simple water tutorial!
Compiled some basic information I know about drawing fat characters for beginners since I've been seeing more talk about absence of really basic traits in a lot of art lately.

Dungeon Meshi Magic System - Bits about Magic and Mana
reblog to save a liFE
Up to now, I have been drawing random generic suit jackets.
Never again.
cc: @petermorwood
I donât think itâs accidental that the English Cut suit seems to be worn by Mr Bond. ;->
And, though not shown on the infographic, donât forget suits with double-breasted jackets, which have been in style for decades: here are examples from the 1920s to the 1970s.
After the â70s, that style faded away until it made a return in the mid-2010s when IIRC âKingsmanâ caused a real-world uptick in suits for everyday wear.
*****
Also NB that the Tuxedo drawing doesnât actually show a Tuxedo, unless itâs an American terminology with which Iâm not familiar. Thatâs a tailcoat, which has tails, is a coat and is worn with white tie.
A Tuxedo (over here, a dinner-jacket) is in the next panel, Black vs White Tie, and doesnât have tails, is a jacket and is worn with black tie.
Wearing the wrong thing can lead to confusion, whether accidental or snarkily deliberate.
(The link to YouTube keeps dropping off this post. If it goes away again, the clip is here. A longer version with a fuller development of whatâs going on, is here.)
Interesting side-note, the tuxedo / dinner-jacket was a development of the old smoking jacket, and its name in many Continental European languages - French, German, Italian, Spanish - is still âder / le / lo / el smokingââŚ
*****
âDownton Abbeyâ and âJeeves and Woosterâ are good sources of info for how these looked when worn regularly at their set times of day, rather than just on special occasions as nowadays.
Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster gets excellent mileage from his tailoring, wearing it properly as clothing not costume, and looks at ease in formal attire even when his only (IIRC) white-tie appearance is in the dock of a magistrateâs court.
Even so, he seems much more comfortable (and hangover-free, mostly) in everyday suits which, though somewhat dated in details, would still look good today.
