a few days ago, I stood on a mountain summit in the next town over feeling that deep connection to the earth's wild spirit. but the pull was stronger—so I climbed even higher, up the next summit. up there, the rain poured and the smoke cleared just enough to see my community in the far distance and remind me: our strength is as vast as the peaks we climb.

we’re in awe of the wildland firefighters who fly above and beyond. they protect the wilderness we treasure. so as a plane soared past me, I cheered with all my heart, tears in my eyes, knowing we all stand with them. mountain folk are resilient, and our love for this land echoes from every peak.

together, we’ve climbed far, and we’ll keep going. our town, our backcountry, our community—it’s all intertwined. we’re strong, and with each step - just like that day - we’ll rise together.
