My new big favourite slow and soothing manga, named "The Mochi I Drew Is Tasty Today Too"
It's about a boy who has always enjoyed art and has only ever wanted to draw and paint, but his family deemed his passion to be useless, throwing away his paints and drawings. And although he had a wonderful art teacher who supported him, he only truly started to flourish when he suddenly found himself in a fantasy world with a magic power to turn his drawings into reality.
It's something to read slowly with a warm smile
Apparently the official English title is "Let's Eat The Pie In The Sky!" because the Japanese saying of "eating a picture of mochi rather than the food itself" is a metaphor for trying to obtain something that's foolish to want, which is very similar to the English idea of "pie in the sky" - something that may look tasty but is ultimately an impossible idea.
