#175.5 - Togepi are freshly hatched Pokemon who remain partially in their shell. These younglings stores up feelings of joy inside their shell, and use the positive emotions of compassion and pleasure exuded by people and Pokemon as their energy. As Togepi grow, their shell gradually breaks away, releasing the happiness they have stored there and encouraging growth and good health. The small wings on its back cannot be used to fly yet, but they often flap them when they are happy. They are attracted to people whom they sense are kindhearted and caring, and even wild Togepi will follow after a Trainer with a pure heart. [Old Version]
#176.5 - Wild Togetic have a generous nature, and will travel around in search of kindhearted people to shower with sweet blessings; if they can’t find anyone, they grow quickly dispirited. Though Togetic’s wings function, they do not need to flap them often, appearing to float without moving their wings. As they age their wings grow stronger and their bodies more streamlined so they can travel greater distances with ease, to better share their kindness with others. This giving process is essential to their evolution; Trainers looking to evolve their Togetic must supplement their Pokemon with a Shiny Stone, to make up for the lack of different energies it would encounter.
