genuine question why are defined genders and identities a thing? why did we as humans, somewhere along the milleniums choose to deprive themselves of the ability to exist freely outside labels and undergo continuous evolution as people and exploring new avenues with regard to themselves in favour of being stuck with two or more rigid notions as to what gender is ? in other words, when did we lose our whimsy?

besides his antisemitism and relatively narrow views ( both not excused ) roald dahl, as perceived through his books wasn't a terrible person to look up to for advice as a child. his character's, the children, constantly challenged social norms and the idiotic idiosyncrasies of adults, acted up against them, and for stories meant for young children, faced consequences that weren't as sugarcoated for 'rebelling' as they did. and that didn't stop them from pushing back against those notions harder, till they atleast made the change they wanted to see in their own small worlds. and not once were their wishes labelled childish or invalidated. it was just what it was.

Apparently one of the 100 Kauravas was named Karna. The poor lad must have felt so neglected when Karna (Vasusena) showed up and Duryodhana probably completely forgot he had a blood brother by that name.

as the years pass, the more social media becomes a tool to decimate free will and limit expression of opinions. in the name of being politically correct, they deprive you of the choice to dislike something and give criticism ( as evidenced by yt 'sneakily' taking off the dislike button all those years ago) and also discuss more sensitive topics without immediately being censored, flagged and suppressed for apparent profanity and indecency. diversity of opinions is apparently not even a thing anymore - you should only be allowed to say 'nice' things. this is the kind of 'negativity' they want to prevent and remove- not the misinformation, not circumstances of cyberbullying, not the propaganda spread to the masses. way to go, really.
