(MY GIRLIES I JUST RANDOMLY OPENED MY DRIVE AND REALISED THAT I HAD ONE LITTLE CHAPTER I NEVER POSTED OF GOVINDAA)
in case you forgot what Govinda is about ... Here . Read this .
-------------------------------------
Lying to the one person who had been privy to her innermost thoughts? Impossible.
And the fact that this same person just so happened to be Paramatman himself? Even more so.
âŚfor the sake of her own pride.
She turned her face over her shoulder. He still hadnât let her move.
âI havenât had such thoughts.â
Everyone knew. She knew. He knew. Hell, even the breeze and the flickering flames knew.
And yet, for some reason, the thought of lying straight to the face of Paramatmaâ
But it was enough for her to notice.
Her eyes glittered with triumph.
His breath left him in a quiet huff, lips quirking upward just a little.
âLying to my face now, hm?â he murmured. âHave I spoiled you that much?â
Chitra huffed softly, chin lifting a fraction despite the way his arms still held her firmly in place.
âIf youâre going to accuse me of something, Narayan,â she said lightly, âat least accuse me of something impressive.â
For a moment, he said nothing.
Then his grip tightenedâsubtle, deliberateâreminding her that she hadnât been allowed to move an inch since heâd arrived.
âImpressive,â he echoed, voice low.
âYou donât think imagining what my skin would taste likeâafter youâve taken off my garlandsâis impressive?â
Her lips curved despite herself.
âConsidering you manifested yourself just to argue about it,â she replied, then added lightly,
âIâd even say you liked it.â
A quiet laugh left himâwarm against her ear, vibrating straight through her ribs.
âCareful,â he murmured. âYou forget who youâre speaking to.â
âNo,â she said instantly. âI remember very well. Thatâs the problem.â
Silence fell between themâthick, charged.
Then his hands loosened. Just a little.
âVery well,â he said thoughtfully. âIf youâve never imagined it⌠then turn around.â
ââŚYouâre cruel,â she muttered.
âNo,â he corrected gently. âIâm honest.â
His presence pressed closerâheavier now.
âFor ten years,â he continued softly, âI have stood silent while your thoughts wandered far beyond devotion.â
Her voice came quieter than she meant it to.
âYou couldâve stopped me⌠if you didnât like the way I thought.â
âI didnât,â he murmured.
Then, softer stillâfinal.
She swallowed. âYou did?â
His breath brushed her ear again.
âYes,â he said, almost amused.
âAnd yet here you areâlying about it. To me.â
