my two cents on the paper leak
i had a very interesting conversation with a friend of mine today. and mind u it was not a conversation where we just agree with everything the other person says. that's why it was interesting and i think i shld share it with yall too. ha pata hai bohot gyaan chod chuki hu aur thoda sehen kar do
the crux of the matter was a question. if the ppl who leaked the neet attempt are arrested why is pradhan asked to step down. ok there are many aspects to it
1. The paper leak happened under his watch. The ppl who leaked the ppl found the courage to do so under his supervision. its like how we blame the leader for every mishap that happens. a very common pattern in any corporate job
2. Just arresting the people does not assure that the leaks don't happen tomorrow. There will more tomorrow who will do the same because they know pradhan is just a chill guy
3. Lastly this is not happening for the first or second time. The internet reveals a staggering amt of paper leaks in the last decade( not any propaganda...just what google baba said.. i know paper leak congress ke time bhi hote hai suna hai ye bohot baar...mudde pe dhyan do)Why should we let him out when he has messed up so many times??
Again the root cause of it all is corruption. And why is it that the paper leaks happen only in the exams conducted by the government. if u are gonna defend this saying why only gov aur bhi hota hai - just hold on.
let me give u a prime example of the ICAI or more commonly referred to as the CA institute. The institute runs exams for 3 levels 3 or 2 times a year for 4 subjects or 6 as the level advances. never in its entire history of 77 years has any exam been compromised or leaked. u can run this data on the internet. My mom became a CA in 2004 my dad in 2002 my aunt before that and my uncle even before them. I can guarantee that there has been 0 cases of paper leaks during their time and even before them.
Further the exam rewards those who are willing to put in hardwork. It rewards merit. Not a single reservation quota. just pure merit. The exams are priced in a way any middle class man can afford it . They have an unbeaten legacy of being the rewarders of merit and merit only. No wonder the tag of CA carries so much weight.
My point of this entire thing is telling you why we need a better education system and an accountable government.
