I was gonna make Emmy draw this but she said no so I drew it myself.

I’ve never drawn a comic before!

and i could tell she wasn't supposed to tell me, but heard the absolute exasperation in my voice and just knew i was his child. she described that there was "a fender bender, and an altercation, in a restaurant parking lot" and that his lawyer was trying to get a hold of him to tell him his court summons had been waived

my parents own a restaurant so I figured it was their parking lot but upon asking my mom i have learned

-pulled up to the burger king drive through and a guy was just standing in the way. my dad rolls down the window and tells him to get out of the way

-guy goes over to the window of my dad's car and starts yelling at him for some reason

-guy throws a slushie in my dad's face and then starts to walk off

-my dad, and i quote, "just fuckin blacked out" and, in an apoplectic haze, hits the dude with his truck, not hurting him but flinging him a respectable distance and knocking him to the ground. i at this point ask why he didn't just get out and punch him. he says "i don't know something just came over me", while understanding this isn't an excuse to hit people with your truck

you didn't ask for "my dad hitting a guy with his truck" updates but i have some anyway. turns out the guy he hit 1. is named bronson tate and 2. has two DV charges so i think this is warranted now

like it's where he comes closest to winning. genuinely does win, honestly. takumi admits defeat, and while he does try to kill himself by way of sirei before eito can kill his friends, he also does so out of guilt/penance. and if eito doesn't want that - which he doesn't - then it's able to spark enough willpower for eito to just take over fully early. he. has the power to get what ending he wants.

which makes it feel so revealing that 1. he doesn't know what he wants, and 2. he doesn't want takumi to die. like that "isn't this what you wanted, for me to die?" "of course not!" exchange fucking kills me.

like-small tangent, but. takumi and eito's kill counts of each other are heavily lopsided - takumi can kill eito a fair bit. eito? kills takumi a grand total of once. and it's at a time when he's not in his right mind/not fully in control. like to put it into perspective nozomi kills takumi more times than eito does. i thought at first well okay, it's because we the player stop boss fights against him from becoming lethal, but it's still weird, right? you'd think if he wanted to kill takumi that badly, there'd be a few deaths to him of like sneak attacks and stuff. but no! and with together forever context, it feels like it's because, cards on the table, he just doesn't want to kill takumi.

(this also makes endurance match hit more for me! it's. not. his life he's begging for. because he is going to win. it's takumi's.)

like that's what makes together forever magical to me. eito gets an absolute victory over takumi, and what does he do? ...he willingly backs down and takes a much lesser victory so their time together can extend forever and ever. it's just. so much that that's what he wants, if takumi's going to stop fighting back.

i see some fanworks where eito or takumi will avoid holding hands or touching each other, but i can't help but think that might be just a little bit wrong because in my opinion i think eito is absolutely willing to touch takumi, he's just that obsessed with him that it takes priority over his aversion temporarily
