These Slow Cooker Asian Sesame Turkey Meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or entertaining. The combination of soy sauce, sesame oil, hoisin sauce, and ginger creates a deliciously savory sauce that coats the tender turkey meatballs.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground turkey. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 egg, beaten. 2 tbsp sesame oil. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 2 tbsp rice vinegar. 1 tbsp honey. 1 tsp grated ginger. 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes. 2 tbsp sesame seeds. Cooked rice, for serving. Green onions, for garnish.
Instructions: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, soy sauce, garlic, egg, and sesame oil. Mix well. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. In a separate bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Gently toss to coat. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are cooked through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over cooked rice. Garnish with additional green onions, if desired.
