Nurses sign up to help people while wearing proper PPE. This is like saying construction workers should suck it up and go to a site without a helmet bc “thats their job.” Or firefighters should walk into flaming buildings in a tshirt bc “thats their job.” Its completely unacceptable that PPE is not stockpiles for situations like this. Shes in NYC I guarantee shes worn the same mask for at least 2 weeks.
