Like usually around base he walks with Ghost or whoever on his good side so he can hear them, when he's on point to breach a compound he leads with his good side, if he's following his point man he's got his good ear on the outside so he can hear what's around them.

Buck!ghost (since i’m leaning into the transformed predator) started having symptoms once he killed Romba or more accurately AS he was killing Romba. Now if you want to make it like price was there while this was happening (like Giras monster au which holy i love and still sad to see it end) you can more so say that Price was the one who originally clocked something was wrong.

But you want to say he was by himself Laswell would probably be the first one to clock an issue with him. He’s more silent than usual leaning into his callsign more than ever, He’s having trouble eating. Which may not be very weird except the issue is he’s having trouble eating greens and vegetables so far as so he’s puking it up because his stomach can’t stand it (hehehe tokyo ghoul reference kinda) everyone doesn’t understand how- i mean he’s a literal dear. but now he’s starting to stare with a look in his eyes, drooling a bit as he stares at necks or someone’s abdomen as he spots them during workouts. At one point he accidentally bit someone because the urge got so bad and yatta yatta price finds out, so and so, finds him eating someone (cannibal buck!ghost? 👀) and it goes to however you like

Priceghost but Price is a creature that is human but at the same time not. It’s the same situation as buck!ghost but he becomes ghosts crutch until ghost can control himself. eventually they become attached at the hip (til soap and gaz come) and even going as far as price being ghosts main food source

One) the concept of him being presented as a deer shifter, only for him to start showing symptoms of something being Very Wrong over a period of time is cinematic as fuck. He's just an odd guy anyways, everyone always says. A deer shifter in the SAS, one that has been to hell and back, one that has earned the name of Ghost. Yeah this dude's weird.

But then he starts staring at people a lot more. He stops gathering greens and fruits on his plate, he even goes so far as to gag when presented with a nice salad.

Then the bite happens. It doesn't really do any damage, he had his mask on and didn't have the best angle to chomp down on the poor guy's bicep.

Its just all downhill from there, the truth about what Roba did to him comes out full force, and Price is left to deal with the consequences.

Two) a toxic relationship based on cannibalism? Absolutely sign me the fuck up. Price being a thing that regenerates quickly, just willingly sacrificing parts of himself for Ghost to have a meal. One day going so far as to let Ghost eat directly from him, skipping the middle part of cutting something off for him.

There's a debrief before a co-op mission, Graves for some reason is setting up the plan. But that shit thinks that he and Soap should team up for one part of the mission, and rest be standby or on overwatch and then he also thinks that Ghost, the so called "asset" will not be needed and should also remain on base.

Graves is ofc saying this with the snarkiest attitude ever (cause hes a lil shit) and with the belief that Ghost wont do anything, cant do anything.

Ghost does not like the plan and will not have Graves anywhere NEAR Soap for a minute longer. He grabs Soap after this and flies away.

Now, somehow, their entire mental health is based on the continued life and happiness of this fairground goldfish that they picked up.

Neither of you know the first thing about how to care for even a healthy fish. This fish has been poorly cared for, has multiple diseases and the person who handed it over explicitly didn't expect it to live nearly as long as it already has.

You're frantically googling how to set up a fish tank, where to buy fish food, can you even take a fish to the vet? Your partner wants you to know that they're happy they made it home and survived their horrific ordeal, but also that if anything happens to the fish then they're going to kill everyone on this planet and then themself.

You're honestly wondering if you're even helping the fish, or just prolonging its suffering, but your partner will only accept medical help for their many injuries or engage in basic self-care once they're confident that the fish is being looked after.

So you get a tank. You set up a filter and all that stuff. You learn way more than you ever wanted to know about water temperature and ph and nitrate levels. The fish is safe. You start to develop some affection for the little guy. Your partner begins to recover. The fish begins to recover.

Which is when you learn that in its 'healthy' state, the fish regularly refuses to sleep when tired, keeps begging for food that is obviously unhealthy for it (and struggling to eat the food that you do provide because “it tastes gross”), and continually tries to persuade your partner to take it out of its nice safe tank so it can go explore the wonderful world of Outside, where the slightest mishap will kill it instantly.

after a while Red Hood is nearby and, obviously, hearing a kid in such clear distress in the middle of the night means he checks it out, and upon landing nearby and asking what the fuck is going on, the bats have to watch as baby-Damian notices the shiny red of Hood's helmet and armour, instantly recognises him, and crawls over to him to sob and clench his tiny little fists at him in an ask for uppies. and Red Hood obviously takes one look at the baby at his feet, goes 'shit wait- Dami?' and bends down to cradle him like it's the most natural thing in the world.

Hood then has to explain that he knew Robin in the league and helped care from him when he was really little, which is probably why Red Hood is currently the only person in the city that baby Damian recognises/views as safe, and Bruce is left with the annoying realisation that the only way to both keep Damian safe and happy while they figure out how to reverse the de-aging and get his son back to normal, is if he brings the Red Hood back to the cave with them. a man who is supposed to be his enemy and whom none of them realised Damian even knew, because clearly that little shit has been lying about some stuff.

for lack of a better solution they end up cautiously bringing Hood back to the cave, which Jason easily goes along with because the second he clocked baby Damian his paternal/protector instincts took over and he doesn't currently care about anything but keeping Damian happy. so there's a period of time where the bats are working as hard as possible in the cave to figure out a way to get Damian back to normal while also warily keeping an eye on Hood to make sure he doesn't try snooping around/go up to the manor/start shit, and Jason is just. not even clocking that this is a worry for them. he's genuinely just zeroed in on Damian like an activated sleeper agent, humming lullabies and changing diapers and even letting the baby clumsily try to take off his helmet because he wants to see Jason's face. Jason lets him, because he still has the mask on underneath, but it's still the first time any of the bats have seen under the helmet and so Dick and Tim end up on the other side of the cave watching with dropped jaws as Jason lets Damian play in his helmet -which he's like. small enough to sit in.- like... is that a fucking teenager under there???

Bruce finally figures out how to get Damian back to normal and when they fix him he comes back really disorientated and not really understanding what the fuck's been going on, so when he blinks open his eyes all dizzy and trying to gain his bearings he clocks Jason's face as one of the first things he sees and without thinking he just goes 'wait- Jason? what the fuck happened, where am I?'

all the bats turn in unison to stare at Jason in question and Jason just freezes in place. like. 'god i wish you'd just stayed a baby.'
