Graves: Brother, I didn't want to even come here!

Ghost: Then why the fuck are you here??

Graves: I was promised by Laswell that she would give me a signed baseball she found while cleaning out Shepherd's office

Ghost: ... you came on a life or death mission for a BASEBALL???

Graves: That and she'd give me the blackmail Shepherd had in his safe

Ghost:

Price: *suddenly falls out of a closet door, scurrying across the floor before he rushes down the hall*

Laswell's Wife, marching past: DID YOU FUCKING EAT ALL THE COOKIE DOUGH!? STOP RUNNING-

So, i watched the trailer.. it's kinda crazy, right? i think what's happening is price is getting hunted down for killing shepherd (post-cred scene of mwiii) and ghost is still a soldier, which means he gotta hunt him 👀

Ghost going after his friend and hunting him down? Choosing to put his orders above his personal feelings? Feeling personally responsible for Price? Some would say he's too close for him to get the job done, others say he's the only one who can do it.

Ghost knowing he's probably the only one who can put Price down. He'll do it for Laswell, for Gaz, for Soap. He has to, he doesn't trust anyone else to do it. And a part of him feels like he doesn't want anyone else to do it, that it would be wrong. Wrong for 141, wrong for Price.

Gaz: *dying*

Soap: *melting*.

Roach: *visibly turning into goop*

All three of them turn to ghost who was head to toe in black gear and wearing all his equipment.

Gaz: …What’s your secret, Skully?

Ghost: …

Eight hours earlier before training. Ghost standing in the community kitchen duct tapping ice packs to his body.

Price: *walking in and pausing* Jesus fuck— IF YOU JUST ASK, I CAN ORDER YOU GEAR WITH COOLING VENTS.

Ghost: I ASKED FOR TOO MUCH THIS MONTH! I WILL NOT BE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN.

Nik and Graves just not knowing where Price is, not knowing what the hell he's doing and what's going through his head. It fucking hurts, not being able to see that this was coming, not until Price is already gone and out of reach. How are they supposed to come out on the other side of this okay? How is that even possible?

And the pain of Laswell having her friend, fuck, her best friend, do this. He's gone, she hasn't heard a word from him. Maybe only getting some cryptic messages from him before he killed Shepherd. She knew he was struggling after Soap, feeling guilty, but she didn't see this coming. And she hates that she didn't, that she didn't know. That he didn't trust her, didn't confide in her. Just, what the fuck?

And Gaz and Ghost? They're going through it. Soap is dead. He's gone and there's no getting him back. Price just turned against everything, flipping the table and now they feel lost. He was their captain. Someone they trusted, they put their lives in his hands. And he left, ran, did some fucked up shit that he can't take back. They want to hate him, but they also want it all to be something they can brush under the rug and forget. It's hard to shake feelings like trust, friendship, maybe love. It's hard to push that away when they had years of Price having their backs.

Ghost: I can make do with knives. I don't know what sick game you're playing, Makarov, but I'm not falling for it

Gaz: No! Put them down- No tricks!

Ghost: ... Kyle...

Gaz: listen! He's on, uh, probation! And a five year plan!

Makarov: By year two I will be wed and have citizenship in the UK

Gaz:

Price and Ghost knew each other way before Soap knew them. Price knows Ghost, knew his face well before Soap knew. They worked together for years without someone keeping them together

But is Ghost mad because Price sides with the enemy or something? Because people mentioned Valeria and Price so.. have we not forgiven her yet?

Or is ghost about to pull a “this isn’t what Johnny would’ve wanted!” and spartan kicks Price off a roof?

After MWIII I have low expectations, but I want to have some hope they at least make a decent campaign. I'm curious what happened between Price and Ghost for them to be fighting in the trailer.

Or where Gaz is, why he wasn't shown. I'm hoping for him to be going after Price, hoping Ghost is with him and for some scenes with them together. I want more Laswell and Nik scenes, or Graves!

Though I am excited to have Valeria back and hope she gets plenty of screentime in game. Or maybe even have her playable in game. I always enjoyed her character but never really dug into making stuff with her in it (something I need to remedy), she's very interesting.
