Birthday Lunch

I didn’t make too much, because we’re only three people, but this is the first time I made everything for Christmas and it wasn’t all that bad. I think this is actually the first time I cooked for my parents, but again, I think it went down pretty well. I didn’t make dessert this year because I just didn’t have the time, but we had mince pies and lemon cheesecake as our dessert options. I ate both.

Havana eggs with caffe latte and salted caramel brownie with ice cream for dessert, and tea, of course!

I’ve been working on campus a lot recently, and buying lunch everyday is a one way ticket to blowing out all of your money. This is a little fun salad I made to take into to uni.

I did have lovely friends to make my day. i had a lot of friends popping in and out, and my best friends stuck around for hours into the new year. I also had a certain “hunky male” (what one of my housemates has labelled him) with me from the night before my birthday. He asked me what I was going to have for breakfast - which at home I often get something special - at which I said “I dunno... cereal?” He just looked me like wtf, and then said “No, we can’t have that, I’ll run to the store and cook you breakfast.” And he did. This was it. It was delicious and filling. Thanks hunky male, this is why I keep you around, to cook for me and be my radiator in bed... <3  

These don’t look like the most appetising pancakes in the world, but they were better than they look. Love the plate, love the maple syrup, but perhaps they should have worked on the presentation of this and just drizzled the maple syrup on.
