A Bit Not Good, But It's Still Beautiful

"I meant, I would have made you eat these on camera. These and anything else. People would love to watch you rate stuff. You're popular already but for different reasons," Will said. He hoped he would begin with the mango cake. "Isn't TikTok all about hearing what everyone thinks about everything?"

Hannibal smiled. He was quite attached to his reputation. The thought of more popularity always sounded attractive.

"It is. Everyone is fond of hearing everyone else's opinion. Hence, some strangers' tiktoks made me buy fruit cakes myself."

"Imagine being Jack Crawford."

Hannibal arched an eyebrow. "I prefer not to. Instead, I will start with the apple."

"Hear me out," Will interrupted him, "He is so preoccupied hunting us down and meanwhile you are in an apartment in Norway eating your fruit cake. One could say you are just a normal man."

"It's the little things in life," Hannibal said as the teaspoon rested in between his lips.

"That's definitely not what you said last night."

Hannibal arched an eyebrow. "Touché. Join me."

"The mango is the real deal."

"Tell me, Will," Hannibal said, "Why would you want me to become a content creator? Isn't it enough that I get to enjoy food underneath your gaze?"

Will's spoon remained stuck in the mango as Hannibal's words sank in. He shrugged.

"I was just curious whether you found the idea appealing."

"In another lifetime. For now I need only you to know that this apple is a 7 out of 10. Did you eat the whole mango by yourself by any chance?"
