Raon spent so long having his pride as a dragon trampled on, that's why he doesn't want to shape shift in the first place, but I do think he would eventually want a more humanoid form later. That being said, not a human. Sure he knows not all humans are bad now, and he loves his human Cale, but he refuses to take the form of one, so he decides to copy Eruhaben and go the Elf route. But Raon doesn't have any significant connection to the Light Elves, the Dark Elves, on the other hand, Raon is very fond of. They're one of the first people to praise him for being a dragon, and of course Raon has a mild fondness for the "Cookie Prince".

Raon's Form is very obviously a Dark Elf child, beautiful dark skin, and black hair thats matches his black scales, cute pointed little ears- with the only "give away" being that Raon still has his glittering dark blue eyes, and slightly sharper than normal teeth. But, he also looks quite a bit like Cale, not like hes a one to one of when Cale was that age but just if he was a Dark Elf, no Raon used many aspects of many people as a template to create his new form, but Cale is the most obvious. When they stand next to eachother, Raon litterally looks like Cale's biological child.

He looks at abandoned, traumatised people and goes: "Oh? free adoption? Mine now!"

White Star: "My experimental dragon half-blood--"

Cale: "Incorrect. Sad son acquired." (Acquired: a future egg)

Arm: "Our elite operatives."

Cale: "No, no, my emotionally rehabilitated employees now."

Emptied several bakeries in his territory to feed the bread to a hole in the ground by the roots of a "man eating tree"

Picked up a wide range of beast people (wolves, tigers, cats, a half rat etc.) and dragons and became an unofficial zookeeper

Bought a magic tower for absolutely no reason only to destroy it a year later

Saw dragons turn up at his brother's doorstep and laughed like a maniac

Coleph wouldn’t

He would choose Cale,again and again,without fail.

Coleph was the best choice as Cale’s protection simply because he would always always put Cale first.Even if Cale himself didn’t want that.

And in a way that’s what made the final cut.

Cale would always choose others over himself in any situation.

So Choi Han put the one person who would always choose Cale to protect him as well.

Would Coleph be seen as a joke the way he is now?

This came to me because even though its obvious he wouldn't bother about pride considering the life he has led, its still kind of...unique. He's the type to say 'does honor serve you two meals a day?' He's the type who wouldn't hesitate to act as a servant or roll around in mud (literally) in front of anyone if it serves his purpose.

And i think that's such a captivating part of his personality to those who've only heard of his 'noble' image (Choi Han and everyone else).

The only thing he cares about is peace. Peace of everyone who lives under him, which (indirectly) means his own peace. And to those who know nothing about his non-existent self-worth, Cale would only appear as a saint, a person so humble and devoted to peace that it feels too good to be true.

But then they see him saying 'run away if you see a strong enemy'. They see him not caring about how he looks, rolling through dirt and all sorts of mess, having no shame in ordering them again and again to just run away from the battle.

Considering these actions, i think it's hard not to absolutely cherish and respect this man. A man who only cares about 'life', the lives of everyone under him, and their peace.
